This is a very well packaged and designed item. I am usually leery of assembling items. The directions are clear, and the fit and finish of the unit is well made and easily assembled. I did this entirely on my own and taking my time it was about an hour and a half. If there was anything to complain about it would be the small piece stickers on each part, which were a pain to take off. I used Un-do label remover. The quality is what youd get from any department store, this is a made in bulk type of furniture. It was easy to assemble i used a powerdrill and it took me almost 2 hours alone while my son napped. The price is ok.. it fluctuates though i've seen this same product on this same page cost 209$ 180ish$ 160ish$ haha it was 20$ less the day i built it but i am happy with the product. We did have to secure it to a 2x4 to make sure its safe because my son is mischevous and i planned on putting heavy objects and glass on the top shelves. The shelves are sturdy but im not gonna test if it would hold 100lbs like the descriptions claims but thats why i bought it; i needed it to hold my mixer and it does. The color and pattern is nice , the wood is like a composite type of wood. Theres about 11.5 inches between the shelves and (4) 11x10.5x10.5 collapsible storage bins will fit across the shelves 46 inches ... show more

I liked the large pictures in the instructions. I completed it myself in about 2 1/2 hours. It's a solid design. Use the wall safety anchor included with the product or some other wall anchor especially if it's going to be set up on carpet. Needed shelf space for 300 books. This worked perfectly for about 200 of them. Arrived very fast; assembly was easy for one person, maybe 2-3 hours. All the parts fit together seamlessly.     • Easy to assemble, but needs some floor space

The product arrived in a single large box. The most difficult part of assembly was carrying it up the stairs. Everything was nicely packaged inside with a lot of separation. When you get it, open the ends and edge, then flip it open so you can pull pieces out. The first half of the assembly went really well, fast and easy by myself -- esp because I used a ratcheting screwdriver instead of the included one. For the second half, I did not have enough floor space to lie it down with the bars connected as instructed - so I had to assemble it while it was standing. That wasn't too bad except for the bottom panel. It was low enough that I couldn't get a bit underneath, let alone a ratchet. I ended up leaning the bookshelf while attaching the bottom panel, but that worked out ok because it had enough sturdiness by then. I ended up building the entire thing by myself. If I had more floor space it would have been faster/easier. It looks pretty nice. I haven't removed all the stickers yet. I would consider buying this bookshelf again. ... show more
