  • Clarinet & Saxophone are great; Trumpet leaves a lot to be desired
Style: Set of 3
The clarinet and the saxophone are fun and easy to blow. They are actually the same base, and work the same way, in different shapes. Very happy with them. They come with clear instructions. The trumpet is very hard to use and does not make a clear sound.

  • Fun for all!
Style: Set of 3
My husband and I are very musical and we have tried to encourage our musically inclined kids (4.5, 3, 1.5) to have fun with instrument toys. These are definitely children’s sized, but both my husband and I were able to play them. In order for a sound to come out, at least one of the keys must be pressed. The clarinet and the saxophone can play a full scale and are in tune with each other. The trumpet is the same key, but only plays four notes. I understand the limitations of a brass children’s toy. The toys have been played frequently and only one of the instruments has had a broken part. One of the keys snapped off the clarinet, so it will now play that note with just blowing. The keys are just plastic, so I expect the more we use the toys, the more this might happen. The key did snap off as a child was closing a drawer, not as it was being played. The loudness of the instruments is tolerable and not really very loud compared to what a real instrument could be. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Perfect for toddlers
Style: Set of 3
Bought these for my 2 year old who loves instruments, but the buttons are just slightly glued on and fell off one the next day. I contacted customer service and they professionally resolved my issue very happy with it. Would recommned for toddlers as a toy maybe not if wanting to use it to actually learm to play for kids. Very light weight plastic, buttons press down and make some actual noise, but better used if needed as a toy. ... show more

  • Kid approved, parent not so much....
Style: Set of 3
As a parent, these cheap plastic (& I really mean cheap dollar store plastic) toy instruments aren't worth more than $15 max, making the $35.99 price I paid obscene. I will be surprised if they last 2 weeks. That being said, my 3 year old son LOVES them! He was beyond excited and keeps telling us how much he loves his instruments. He really enjoys blowing through them & making sounds. We've only had them one day but our little guy hasn't been this excited about a new toy ever (& he seriously gets new toys weekly) so I give it a 4 star because the child's happiness is far more important than the parent's displeasure in price for quality. This set is great for seeing if your child has a real interest in learning to play & which instruments he/she prefers before you fork out a higher price for a closer to real one. I must also note they all sound the same (again, cheap plastic, so that is to be expected) so don't expect to create a symphony of beautiful music from these. They are a younger child's toy, I'd say 2 to 8 years old max. Older kids will most likely find these cheesy and cheap. ... show more

  • Hard for me to play, let alone my toddler
Style: Set of 3
I really wanted to love these - some of the video reviews are great! Not sure if I received defective ones or what, but I couldn’t even play them/make them sound good - produced a poor quality sound or none at all - just a lot of frustrated blowing. My toddler would have tried for a minute or two and been frustrated, and that’s not the intro to instruments that we want for her. ... show more

  • Cheap
Style: Set of 3
These were purchased as gift for my son. He absolutely loved them. They instantly became his favorite toy to play with. Unfortunately these instruments are made with very thin cheap plastic and broke within a week. The first instrument broke the first day he got them. It's not worth the money for them. ... show more

  • Hard to play
Style: Set of 3
We do not love these although the kids think they are cool because they look good. They sound like harmonicas and are hard to hold and play for ages 3-1/2 and 6. The color- coded song instructions are poorly printed in small sized boxes, all on one sheet, and are very hard to follow.

  • My Son loves these!!
Style: Set of 3
I got this for Christmas for my 4 year old and he loves it! He’s really into instruments right now, so it was a perfect addition to his collection. I really like that the instruments aren’t terribly loud. We also have an infant so when out oldest plays, it’s not disturbing. Biggest flaw is that pieces for the sax and clarinet come of pretty easy. We’ve already had a few break off of each so you can’t play the music on the sheet. My son noticed but it doesn’t stop him from enjoying his toys. ... show more
