I bought this as a replacement for the cucumber of the week in our fridge. Many dinnertime's come to a close with alexa and my family trying to sing along with some kids favorites or classic rock hits. I saw this and thought maybe the produce could use a rest! The microphone is weighted well despite its array of buttons and knobs to control audio processing. It is clearly from overseas as the voice that issues commands to you is clearly not recorded in America. Once you've paired the device with your phone I installed Smule Karaoke and away we went! Sound quality is surprisingly good so long as you don't max out the volume (True of most consumer electronics). The impressive part of this device is how easy my kids figured it out and were off singing verses from things like Sweet Home Alabama or a song from the Troll's soundtrack. Karaoke has expanded from the end of dinner to all the time! My next purchase may be singing lessons! For $20 you really can't find more fun in a device -- I got the pink one and the device has held up to at least a dozen drops so far! ... show more

I can turn this on and off and adjust the microphone volume. The AM/FM radio doesn't work- just lout- VERY LOUD static and the buttons to change the channel do not work. It's cute, but I also wish it wasn't so loud when you turn it on with a comically accented voice. I really had a hard time understanding what it was saying at first. The Bluetooth connection worked easily enough. My daughter loved this for her 5th birthday. If she continues to love singing, I may upgrade to something of better quality, better sound, working buttons and that doesn't have a loud and difficult to understand Chinese accent yelling at you when you turn it on. ... show more

I bought this as a present for my 4yo daughter who was just getting interested in singing and listening to herself sing. This karaoke mp3 microphone was a PERFECT purchase for her! She loves to record herself in different voices and play it back. With the option of connecting to a phone or computer, the varieties of music and playback with this very sturdy microphone is basically endless and now we have many saved recordings from her. Weve axtually all been able to record ourselves and using the karaoke app recommended, xan make music mixes from the toy connected to a computer. The bright pink color is dazzling and easy to carry due to being very lightweight. The only negative Id have is that the instruction are not fool proof and there is some work involved in getting it set up , ans its most definitely a child's toy, but its well worth it. My almost 2 year old granddaughter doesn't say anything yet. Not unless it's a Disney song. Lol. Then she gets out a word once in a while. I got this for my almost 4yo granddaughter to sing along with her videos, but the 2yo had been playing with it and she's finally making noise! She's been so silent and now she's running through the house yelling into the microphone! I can almost hear words in the middle of all the yelling. My 4yo gd lives it too. Once we had it charged I learned it only makes an alien like sound when my child uses it. I bought another one in hopes it was a defective one but they both make this god awful sound. I wish I still had the box from the first purchase so I could return two instead of one….
