Likes: Arrived one day early. Securely packaged. No damages. Simple operation. Heavy and good construction. Dislikes: Locking mechanism isn't the most secure, but it works well. Could be easily broken into. This safe is actually better than I expected and it works well to store important papers which we don't want to be damaged in case of fire. It is NOT a vault for security as much as it is a protector from fire (which we hope we will never have). NOT for guns or pearls. Read the paperwork included. Great box. I like the size. I deducted a star because it's heavy with nowhere to get a hold on it to carry. Desperately need handles!

    • Met my expectations
The first thing you must understand is this is not a safe. The lock is not secure and not pick proof. It is simply a method to keep the lid closed. Second is to remember the function of the box is a fireproof container only. When the box is in a fire the outside plastic cover will likely fuse to the box. The write up makes no claim to it being waterproof, how do you have a fire without having water on it? I can understand that it is not submersible but a realistic test would include both fire and water from the attempt to put the fire out! Non the less I am going to take my chances that as long as it is not sitting in water it can withstand water on it. As far as interior size goes, it fit hanging folders fine. I am using it to store a 3" and 2" 3-ring binders and both of those fit on an angle. There were no defects in the construction of the box I received and the lock worked fine. I purchased this a few years ago, it's still in perfect condition. I've spilled a bunch of drinks on it since it's close to my desk, they should add water proof to its great quality's. It comfortably fits more than 25 hanging for folders and files inside. It's been banged around a few times but still maintains it's integrity. The lock is strong not easily picked. It was as described. It is heavy as expected. The one thing i noticed was that the key will not come out unless it is locked, so if you do not want to lock it, you will have to leave the key in the lock.
