Description

The Outrush R is a Bluetooth modular motorcycle helmet that features seamless integration of Sena’s world-class audio Bluetooth system. The Outrush R comes complete with a sleek and versatile modular design, integrated speakers and a microphone, and smartphone pairing to access music and phone on your ride. Powered by Bluetooth 5.0, the Outrush R features 4-way Intercom, allowing up to four riders to pair their Sena Bluetooth devices to one another. Additionally, when connecting to just one other rider, users will experience 2-way HD Intercom, which will enhance the audio quality on the trip. Users can expect an impressive 900-meter (0.5 miles) intercom range and a talk time of up to 12 hours with the Outrush R. This item complies with US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 218 (FMVSS 218) (DOT FMVSS No. 218 Certified).

Fantastic helmet!!! Very light, foam does not feel stiff at all!! Controls for the helmet (visor and sun-shades) are very easy to grab and work!! The mic is quite fantastic!! The media could not be loaded. Bought one size up and it fits perfect. Excellent Helmet for the money. Fit and finish is excellent. Everything seems to function perfectly. I’ve only used it a few times in warm weather, I wish there was more air vents to open on warm days. Bluetooth connected to my phone instantly, call quality is excellent, speakers are more than adequate, can’t raise the volume all the way otherwise it’s to loud. After reading previous reviews about the sizing of this helmet, I bought one 1 size larger. My head is small, 56, so I bought a medium. There is a review that the writer went 2 sizes larger, and I don't think that's a bad idea at all. Mine fits very snug. And after wearing it a little while, the foam pads will relax a little, and it will conform perfectly. The Sena bluetooth is simple and low profile; easy to use. The sound system is more than adequate for voice. I wish the speakers had better base response for listening to music.... Other than that, this is a great helmet at this price point. ... show more

I"m submitting two reviews because the first helmet I ordered was a medium, based upon my having the earlier Sena Bluetooth Modular, in a medium. Unfortunately the Outrush was tight and I replaced it with a large, which fit perfectly. The helmet is of good quality. It's a bit noisy and I only use the Bluetooth to hear navigation. This issue has been reported to SENA, case # 537870. I ordered two of these. The first and second helmets arrived as seen in picture I. The part missing is seen in picture III. I just noticed, on a hot day, that I was unable to open the vent. I went back and watched some reviews of this helmet. That is when I noticed the part was missing. I then ordered a replacement helmet and found the policy that helmets must be returned unworn. The missing part, part III allows the vent to open. The second one arrived with the exact same problem. As it turned out, on examination of the packaging, I found part III loose in the packaging of the second one. The first one never had it. I took the part from the packaging and installed it in the first helmet so that I could return the second one. To install it you will need to: First remove the visor, as explained in the videos Second, Remove the chin-bar, two screws that are visible under the visor. Third, remove the inner cover from the chin bar. There are five screws in the locations shown in image IV. Note, in Image IV, the inner cover has already been removed. Fourth, remove the foam, shown in image IV, from the chin bar. Fifth, squeeze the pin shown in image II with a pair of pliers and press the vent assembly out. Note that there are also three tabs holding the vent assembly in place. Six, press the back of the vent assembly as you push part IiI into the front of the vent assembly, as seen in picture V. Seven, When reassembling, be sure to get the seal over the vent assembly, as seen in image VI. Otherwise, it will not go back together. Eight. reassemble. Remember, the screws in the chin bar are going into plastic. Be sure to avoid overtightening them. Summary. I like the helmet. The Bluetooth is easy to use and it seems to work well. That said, when two out of two arrived with the same piece having fallen off, I can not give this helmet a good review. I also need to add. There are claims that this helmet has FM radio built-in. I have read the instructions several times, and I have watched the videos that touch on it. As far as I can discern, this helmet does not have an FM receiver built into it. ... show more

Good: Light weight, included comms, easy pairing with your Bluetooth. Bad: Runs small, very cramped fit, fairly noisy. Fairly comfortable helmet and the built in Sena comms are a plus but the dementions of the helmet negate the pluses. I measure between small and med. so I got a medium size. Biggest problem is the chin bar is SO close to your face that the mic gets stuck under the chin curtain every time you try to close it. I ended up just taking the chin curtain off and letting my beard cover the opening but the mic is still pressed into my bottom lip AND the front of the helmet. My hearing sucks but the speakers are quite loud although tinny sounding but they work. Road and wind noise still comes through more than it should. It's a decent setup but your paying for the comms; the helmet itself is cheaply made. At this point I'm going to try and return it and get a good helmet and separate comms and just do them myself. A good rule to follow that I didn't do; never buy a helmet you don't try on FIRST. ... show more
