Description

Selmer has introduced the La Voix II as a strong competitor in the intermediate saxophone market. Having trimmed back some of the extraneous features of the original La Voix, the La Voix II offers a back to basics lighter feel and a very focused sound. The acoustic response of Selmer LaVoix II saxophones is quick and fluid through all registers and the neck is specially designed with slight resistance. This combination provides for superior response, and teachers also prefer it for embouchure and air stream development.Solid red brass construction helps produce a bigger, richer tone using more copper in the alloy content. Key design is compact with professional spring tension for quicker facility. Double braced low C B keys add strength and stability to lower bell keys while the reinforced table arch stabilizes the left hand pinky cluster s table to help prevent damage while in the case. A high F affords the player full range with multiple adjusting screws making repairs and adjustments a cinch. Treated leather pads help to fight off those costly trips to the repair shop. The instruments feature Selmer USA mouthpieces that help to create an even tone, excellent response and steady intonation. New lighter weight cases thoroughly protect the instruments and offer excellent storage capacity. Standard finish for alto is clear lacquer on yellow brass. Optional finishes include copper brass, black nickel plate with lacquer keys, and bright silver plate.

  • Beautiful and sounds great
I ordered the copper brass tenor saxophone. The action and horn is much lighter than expected. The horn is great and sounds great after having it adjusted. Two pads had air leaks. Seller was prompt with an issue I had and would respond to e-mails within minutes of sending messages. I thought it came with a C* mouthpiece?? Anyways, comes with a Selmer student grade mouthpiece which I immediately upgraded to a Vandoren for concert sound and a metal one for jazz. Metal ligature is standard entry level two screw that I replaced for a Rovner. One entry level reed is included. TIPS: order a pad saver, reed holder & swab kit. I would order again and I can’t stress enough that the seller is prompt and will address any issues if they arrive. 10/10 ! ... show more

  • Great
I play this horn in the high school marching band. Fantastic sound and play quality. Alternate F# key guard comes loose a bit when shaken around for several hours (probably won't happen to you) 10/10 would play again
