  • A good horn
Even though it not a Selmer paris, it still a pretty nice soprano. It has a nice tone to it and even gives you a mouthpiece and all that. But I would recommend that you would buy some reeds with it,( Vandoren are really nice) and also a new mouthpiece and ligature. The mouthpiece it gives you with the soprano is a U.S.A Selmer so it's ok but the ligature it gives you barely fit on the mouthpiece. So I would recommend you for the mouthpiece to buy a Yamaha 4C ($25~$35 dollars) or if you have extra money, you can buy a Selmer C star ($110~$130 dollars) for a better sound. For the ligature, anything is fine but if you want a darkest and cleanest tone on your soprano, then you should buy a Rovner dark ligature ($15~$50 dollars). And if your wondering, the soprano is made in Taiwan and the real name is Selmer SS600 ( dont know why it only say s600). So i would recommend this to intermediate player, beginners may have some trouble with it, but if you switch from a Alto Sax or a Clarinet, it wouldn't be too hard to learn it then. I hope this help. :) ... show more

  • Currently Unplayable...
The sax came several days early but, is currently unplayable... They helpfully included a selmer mouthpiece, a Rico reed (with the wrong size case), a really nice neck strap, a soft cleaning cloth and selmer cork grease. Yet they didn't add a ligature... so all i can do is look at it. *update* they either sent the wrong mouthpiece or it doesn't fit..... ... show more

Very nice sax. Was a little disappointed when I noticed a bent key on the high octave. Got it fixed for $70 and seems great now.

  • Overall a decent buy
Overall a great buy however the screw on the B key will not stay screwed in and causes all sorts of leaks, if there is any way to fix this please let me know.
