  • Love the watch
I love this watch! I am not a fan of automatic watches, especially when I have to adjust it every week. And if I do not wear it over the weekend, it will stop. Maybe one day I will take off the back and make an adjustment but until then, it is a weekly adjustment. I like to forget my watches, hence I am really a fan of solar watches. I have one - Citizen - that has been going for 14 years without missing a beat. I have a Seiko solar for over 3 years, same with that - just keep on ticking. So, I must say, I will not buy another automatic but the design of this watch is so nice, I could not resist. It is even better looking in person. The bezel of blue/black is just awesome in the light. Everything about this watch is classy. Nice weight, not too tall, nice bracelet. Finally, the crown is not digging into my hand. And you get a second time zone which is nice. The watch is great with water, shower, wash hands .... does not matter, no problem. Very legible , nice hands and markers. The markers glow for a while after hitting the Sun. Looks smaller than my same size diver. This is a great watch. They could have put on a sapphire glass but even so, this is pretty nice. If it was not for the continuous adjustment, this would be the best watch! Seiko should have better quality control to get closer to a more on time watch even if it is an automatic. So even with the adjustment issues, this is a great watch! Elegant and sporty at the same time! Saiko make this with solar power, I buy it again! ... show more

  • SSK003 = Great Watch!
I am a Seiko Fan and this watch did not disappoint. The SSK003 (aka Blueberry) is the Seiko 5 GMT Diver with the Batman bezel. Stainless steel, 14.7mm height, 42.5mm diameter with the standard 28.5mm dial along with a 24 hour chapter ring. The watch uses the 4r34 movement which is Seikos newest Automatic. This is an entry level movement. Performance is very good with that said. The watch has about 280-250 degrees of amplitude, 0.0-0.3ms of beat error and a max variation of 18 spd between 6 positions. Out of the box and rested dial down, the watch produces about -1 spd of accuracy give or take a couple tenths. Very consistent and very accurate. Performance is hard to argue about for a sub $500 watch. I love the looks of the watch, the bracelet is comfortable and has micro adjustments to customize the fit. I highly recommend this watch! My seller was also very good, shipping in less than 24 hours, very good price and an authorized Seiko dealer to boot. I am very happy! ... show more

  • beautifull watch
I read some reviews that the watch had no inscription that is made in japan ,but the one i have received has the Made in Japan writing on the dial. It keeps accurate time and i wind it only first time when i bought it and untill now i didnt need to wind it so the mechanism is very good at self winding. The watch is solid and has good weight on it ,you can tell that is a good quality watch. The GMT hand is extremely usefull and i use it to keep track on 2 time zones. Keep in hand for those who dont know how to use GMT watch, the GMT Hands moves a complete cycle in 24 hrs while the normal hand is moving 2times per 24 hrs cycle. The way you read the gmt time is against the dial on the inside of the watch ,and a 3rd time zone can be kept by adjusting the outer dial to the gmt discrepancy of the time zone you need ... show more

  • Great value for the money, not the most accurate
First off, it's a beautiful watch. The way the blue sundial and color on the bezel shine in the light is gorgeous. The band is flashy in a nice way. The red GMT hand pops. It's a beautiful watch and it feels quality. It's nice to have a in house movement but it's not to accurate as it ends up off a few minutes off every few days. I feel like I have to readjust every 2-3 days to get it back on point. Most of my automatic watches are much more accurate... but also, much more expensive. Good inexpensive GMT that I'm not afraid to wear anywhere and get scuffed up a bit. I've seen it for cheaper out there now so now it's even more of a steal. If you want a stylish automatic watch you can go anywhere with for not a lot... this is your watch. ... show more

  • The OG of the new affordable GMTs
The OG of the new affordable GMTs w/ 4R34 (NH34) movements, now coming online. Random observations: 1. If the Amazon vendor is not a Seiko A.D. (some are) you’ll likely get a blank unstamped warranty card, which means not covered by Seiko USA’s 3-yr warranty. I’ve never found this to be a problem as the many Seiko I’ve owned have held up essentially forever. If you’re fine paying full retail, might as well buy from an A.D. seller on Amazon. 2. Interestingly, no more instruction booklet provided. In the unlikely event you need help using your watch, it’s downloadable from the Seiko USA support page. The manual states “The telephone time signal service is helpful for setting the seconds hand exactly.” How retro. 3. The blue one’s dial’s “sunburst” is subtle & not as pronounced as with, say, a blue Orient Ray II. 4. The back-end of the seconds hand (with the lollipop lume dot) is painted black, a nice touch. 5. It’s not a dive watch! It’s a travel watch. “10 Bar” (100m), so a dunking or splash is fine, but no snorkeling or extended swimming. 6. Supplied “jubilee-style” bracelet is fine (solid end links, nice enough finish & clasp) but unless you’re Popeye, you’ll need to resize it, and it uses pins/collars. I’m wearing it on a NATO. 7. Because of the slightly thicker movement and exhibition caseback, if on a NATO will wear a bit higher on the wrist, compared to say the SKX you’re upgrading from. 8. Buttery-smooth manual winding. No gritty feel at all. 9. Spec’d at +45/-35s/day, mine’s doing considerably better. YMMV. 10. An overall great value in a megabrand GMT! ... show more
