This Seesii Cordless Hand Planer with 5.0Ah Battery is a nice and affordable powered hand planer. I have a 6 inch planer/jointer in the shop, but this tool is nice tool to have for working on projects outside of the shop. This planer makes some task easier, versus having to take pieces to the shop to plane and shave just a hair off. It has enough power for my use as I have it set to shave about1/32 inch in a pass. The dust collection bag, guides and the 5 Ah. battery and charger all work and function as they should. I have and use several other cordless tools and hand tools by Seesii and they all are good quality tools and no issues at all. ... show more

This is a surprisingly nice cordless planer. It has a good solid feel in your hands. It's comfortable to operate and has a safety switch to keep the planer from accidentally turning on if you hit the trigger. It has a large capacity battery that should last for most planing projects. The instructions are very well written and explain all the features and how to use the parallel fence and rabbet attachments. I like that you can mount the included sawdust bag on either side of the planer. No matter where you might have to do your planing, you can move the bag to keep it out of the way. The adjustment knob to set the depth of your cut is pretty firm when turning so it doesn't accidentally movement during your cut. It has 2 sets of blades that are reversible and the mounting screws are easily accessible and can be removed and tightened with the included wrench. I tried it on a piece of scrap maple and the cutting was clean as long as you don't try to take too deep of a cut and you feed the planer at a speed that doesn't bog down the blade. All-in-all, a very nice cordless planer for the price. Definitely recommended. My rating method: 1 star - terrible. I wouldn't consider buying it. 2 stars - marginal at best. Doesn't meet the minimum requirements or quality to be useful. Buy it at your own risk. 3 stars - average. Meets the quality and requirements for a product of this type but is nothing out of the ordinary. If the price is good, I'd probably buy it. 4 stars - better than average. Exceeds the typical quality of a product of this type and has a few extra features not usually found on other products of this type. I'd buy it. 5 stars - exceptional - far exceeds the quality of products of this type. Hard to beat the quality and features included. Best value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. ... show more

This is a solid unit, it works well, the battery life is good. I reused some wood from pallets to build and enclosure for my wife's turtles. This planner worked great cleaning the wood. it removed nicely all the rough and dirty sections leaving behind a smooth layer. I am very satisfied with the tool and the results. ... show more
