The sofa was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were very helpful and I like how there was one included per each modular section. The frame material (wood) was very sturdy and heavier than expected. The fabric material is nice, thick and flexible. I also like the color of it because it adds interest and dimension instead of being just a solid black color. I have a dog and young child, but pet hair, while attracted to the fabric, is also extremely easy to clean off. That said, grass and other lent is harder to remove. I noticed in previous reviews some customers had a hard time putting on the fabric cover. I agree that in the beginning it was a little confusing so perhaps an instructional guide or video could be done. But since I have experience sewing, once I lined up the seams with the corners of the pieces, it was a piece of cake! And actually it was very clever how these covers were created - I enjoyed this process. I look forward to washing this fabric, but wish that it came with care and laundering instructions. I am not sure about the fabric material, but I assume I would wash on a gentle cycle in cold water, but not put it in the dryer as it might shrink a bit. I purchased a dark color to prevent staining, but I haven't had to spot clean it as of yet. Likewise, it seems like a scotchguard product could be applicable if I so desire to help in that regard. There were no weird smells, fumes or off-putting odors that I noticed. The pillows were large, lofty and very full. I was very impressed with them and how they held their shape. They also had a pleasant smell and all the fabric colors matched throughout. I also appreciated that they were ready-made and made well. The seams are sturdy and all line up. Great attention to detail! All you had to do was put them in place on the sofa. It is very comfortable though I will say that the modular pieces below the seat cushions are harder than expected. I wish they had a little more padding, If you sit in between the pillows or on the edge, it is harder than I'd like. However, I feel as though I could add some extra cotton material inside the velcro liner to help remedy that. I haven't attached the sofa seats together just yet, but I like that the sofa doesn't shift or move around as it is sat on. That goes back to the solidness and sturdiness of the sofa frames. The ottoman storage piece is huge! Though I would have liked for it to have a fabric cover to cover the gray material. The only thing that covers it is the pillow, so if not careful, you can see the gray material beneath it. I will say that was a bit of a letdown. That extra cover on the lid of the ottoman would have really taken it over the top to provide that full luxurious feeling. Overall, it was a good buy and great value. It is well made and sturdy. I'm looking forward to seeing my guests responses to my new sofa and having many years of lounging on it. ... show more

Shipping. I don't know if this will apply to everyone but to my surprise the couch came in 5 days earlier than estimated. No prime or any early shipping options selected. For this couch 4 boxes were delivered and all on the same day. Size. If you're looking for a decently large couch that isn't crazy expensive like those big brands, then I suggest choosing this one. It took forever to find a sectional, modular couch that would actually fit our family of four. Everything about this couch is wonderfully large. Each module, each cushion and the arm rests. Now SEAT DEPTH was a huge deal! Two of us are 5'9 and after suffering on a couch that was ridiculously too short for us to even fit on, this couch is awesome. And if you decide to add the ottoman expect it to be large as well. It's very convinient for extra sleeping space, especially for guests. Plus it has strorage. It's probably one of the best things about this sectional. Comfort. The firmness is actually a good balance. It's soft but stiff and thick enough to hold it's shape. It won't collapse so easily. Which to us is a good thing. Assembly. Not difficult, just took time. Stretching the fabric covers over the modules aren't that hard either as long as you take the time to line up the corners and zippers and everything. If you add feet, don't be afraid to poke through the mesh. I was worried at first since there aren't holes to feed them through but nothing has ripped so far by doing so. Function. If you're setup for this couch ISN'T to position it up against a wall then I suggest installing the connectors. Each module is sturdy, well the whole couch pretty much is, but it will slowly drift apart if without connectors. Also keep in mind that the connectors aren't the best. One of ours is already having trouble staying attached. So if you decide to build your own or buy a sturdier connector then do so. It'll probably be better. All in all, it's a great couch. Was a little hesitant buying a couch off of amazon, especially since I like to feel the comfort of the couch before buying. The couch I really wanted was the 7th Avenue modular couch, but it was waaaaay out of our budget. I found this couch and it had little reviews but they all were good reviews, so I gave it a chance and im glad I did. The cushions are a little firm at first, but once you break them in it gets a lot more comfy. Its a good large size and the storage in the ottoman is great! Putting it together wasnt too hard, definitely need two hands tho. The hardest part was putting the couch covers on the body of the couch. We were so confused on which way it was supposed to go on, and then it seemed like it was too small for the couch. But we did manage to get them on, and the couch looks nice and expensive! Id definitely recommend if you want a nice large comfy couch without breaking the bank. ... show more

This is advertised as a cloud couch that’s soft and comfortable and it is anything but comfortable. The texture is rough and it’s very firm. It was a pain in the ass to put together, make sure you have someone with muscles to pull the pieces apart and you need at least two people. It looks nice, color was accurate and it is modular, wasn’t damaged or missing any pieces. It’s just not what I was expecting in terms of comfort. I do regret buying it. ... show more
