I packed this chest full of ice a full day before I was going to use it. Then, the morning of departure I packed the box with my already cold foods/drinks from the fridge. Then I drained whatever water that was in there from the day before (which was negligible - like 5 seconds of drainage), then packed it to the brim with fresh ice. I was up at the mountain for a week of beautiful spring skiing where the nights would drop to low thirties, but in the car during the day it would get hot from the trapped hot air from the car sitting in the parking lot all day with the windows closed - hot enough to sweat bullets in! I was up there for three nights, four days. When I got home, I was too lazy to deal with it that day. The next day by around noon, when the sun had ample time to warm up my garage, I decided to pull the box out of the back of my wagon. I drained the water, which there was a good amount of, and took it back inside. I opened it up to see how much ice was left. See pics. I wish I had thought of taking the before picture with it packed, but it was so early in the morning and we were kinda in a rush. I was amazed to see how much ice was left considering how I remember the inside of the car feeling during the days and also leaving it in the car/garage for an extra day. The food that was still in there was at least if not colder than the food that was in my fridge at home!! I read on here from several other reviewers that this box performs at least as well, if not better than the "Other brand" in many areas. Either way, I'm ecstatic this box turned out to be as quality (or exceeding the quality) as the "Other brand". As a bonus, I've had to use that pressure release button several times during the trip, and I must say that it's super cool to have! If you're in the market for a premium ice chest, don't look further. This chest has all the goodies. Don't overlook this one. EDIT: Just wanted to clarify that I am not an affiliate with this company or Amazon in any way, and I wasn't paid to write any of this. Fantastic durable ice chest! We were looking for something that would hold ice longer than a day, this is great! Ice lasted several days. Chest is substantial so moving with one person may be challenging but still very worth while!

This cooler is amazing, but remember you are buying a thick walled, heavy cooler. It is a little bulky to maneuver, but it definitely holds ice for much longer than the average cooler.

Update to below review....Donna with customer service did come thru and was very attentive following up with sending a replacement plug....as it was not the exact type that comes with stock cooler...she even sent a couple extra since our stock plug had the chain hole as not to lose plug whereas the replacement ones sent do not come with a hole for the chain to secure. Thank you Donna for following thru with solving this problem. I WOULD order your products again in the future! - The cooler is only 10 months old and would be wonderful if it didn't leak from the bottom of the drain . The plug is on correctly and tightened...can't fix the leak. Can't get customer service help...... Won't buy expensive item online thru Amazon again... go to store! ... show more

We had a party in late July here in Florida which to date was the hottest weekend of the year thus far. I put five pounds of dry ice in the bottom and forty ponds of cubed ice on top. We had twenty plus people attend the party that weekend so it was opened a lot and four days latter there was still a good ten pounds of ice left. The cooler was left outside on a covered porch but non the less very hot day's and no sweating at all. I would not have one this size without the wheels and the tires on it grip very well. The pressure release button is a winner as well, it was needed after being closed tight for a few hours at a time. I did what others suggested the day I received it I placed it in a dark room, placed a bright flashlight inside pointing up, closed it tight and could find no light showing through the seals. I am very happy with it and look forwarded to using it during hunting season where I am out a week at a time. ... show more

I love this cooler! Tons of space and I LOVE the rack that comes with it. I wish the ice lasted longer, but that was likely because it was on the back rack of our van all day, in 80+ degree weather. When we brought the cooler into our hotel room, each night, the ice last longer...which is what we were hoping for. I upgraded to the more sturdy handle...that would be my only recommendation. Definitely upgrade the handle! It's sturdy and this cooler can get heavy to push/pull, when it's at capacity. I would definitely recommend buying this cooler. ... show more

Upon first inspection, this cooler is very well built. I've spent WEEKS looking over all kinds of rotomolded coolers, and for the price and freebies I pulled this trigger on the Milee 70 w/wheels. I'm impressed that this cooler feels premium, if you slapped any reputable cooler name *cough*yeti*cough* you would be hard pressed to think otherwise. The cooler made it all the way to me on Hawaii in one piece, where companies like Kong and Rtic refuse to ship. The cutting/divider board seems durable, the basket indispensable, and the cupholder appreciated but frankly useless. I'm gonna do an ice retention test this week with moderate use and will update again. As of right now, I would buy all over again. ... show more
