My child is in an efficiency while finishing college. I bought this because it is a great price and from a reputable brand. We will be disposing of this in 2 years, so why spend a lot? However, this bed is COMFORTABLE! It is on the firm side, but its a cozy firm. I'm really shocked at how good this mattress really is, I've considered getting a bigger one for my RV! It did not smell when I took it out of the plastic and we did give it 24 hours to inflate fully, but I don't believe that it took that much time. I bought this for my daughters room so that we would have an extra bed for when company comes. This was intended for kids or smaller teens. Well Christmas rolls around and my husband has covid. Not wanting to sleep in my office I decide to try the trundle. I am 5’9 and not small. This bed is actually comfortable. I have joint and back issues and have had no problems. I am a side sleeper and while I wish it could be a 1/2” deeper (it can’t be because it’s obviously got to fit under her bed) it is still comfortable and I have woken up not feeling like I slept on my kids floor for 4 nights thus far. I am happy to know when offering this as a sleeping option to guests in the future that it’s comfortable and honestly possibly more comfortable than some of my kids normal mattresses. ... show more

sealy foam mattress, says firm i can say its not firm but i will say its a solid medium firm foam mattress. this is not a memory foam, its a foam mattress.......overall its firm enough for me and i really need firm mattress.this is the 2nd best matress i have ever owed and im now 60 yo. 300 dollars.....i was going to buy sleep number bed total about 1700 with their base that you really need......i am very very happy with this sealy foam mattress......i hate memory foam....this is so much better....very happy ... show more

Used to sleep on a what i now realize was a TERRIBLE mattress. With this one, i can be chatting with my partner full on and 30 seconds later i hear snoring! If you want to get right to sleep with no nonsense this is the mattress for you! All joking aside this mattress is amazing. I used to have horrible hip and back pain with our previous mattress and have none of that now. A perfect blend of support and cushion.Just make sure you let it decompress for the full recommended time. ... show more

I researched, and tested in person, a bunch of different mattresses. I found this one on a whim when I searched online, I was skeptical buying online without being able to test it, but I trusted the reviews. I’m glad I did. PACKAGING: The package is pretty heavy, I’m a strong, young guy and it wasn’t a back breaker but I could see some people struggle with it. After unwrapping it, it puffed up to full size within the first half hour, I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. I’ve seen it take a few hours in some reviews. FIRMNESS: I laid on about 10 different memory foam mattresses during my search, this is definitely on the softer side. Everyone has different interpretations of “plush” or “firm”, but this one is definitely a little on the softer side. You’ll feel yourself sinking into the foam, so if you like firmer mattresses, this one probably isn’t for you. HEAT: I never knew heat was a thing with memory foam mattresses until I read reviews, but I kind of got the hint when I noticed “cool” being in a lot of the advertising. Well it’s a real thing. I definitely felt the heat, I like being warm, so it didn’t bother me personally, although I did have to take my comforter off at one point because I was sweating. I could definitely see it bothering some people. PRICE: I thought it was a great deal. Bob’s Discount Furniture wanted $200 more for a generic, no name brand, version of the same thing. Sealy is a great brand, and the price is very reasonable based off of the quality and the brand. SMELL: I’ve seen some reviews really complaining about smell on other mattresses. It has a slight “new plastic” smell, but it’s definitely not overwhelming or unbearable. I stopped noticing it after the first few minutes. OVERALL: I can deal with the minor issues like the heat. As soon as I laid on this mattress I could feel my back and shoulders loosening up. I can sleep on my stomach now, pain free, but can’t do that on most other mattressses. It’s a great buy, and it really helped with my pain/discomfort! Just be aware of the heat and firmness, I’m a very easy going person, not picky, I could see those being issues for some people! ... show more
