Description

Sea to Summit stands for a culture of design perfectionists who develop ingenious, functionally beautiful products with an independent, free-thinking Australian attitude. We strive to create equipment that is nimble and light, but serious enough to deliver when called into duty. Gear that works just that little bit better, so you may find yourself inspired to take the less-traveled road more often. Ingenious. Functional. Reliable. Unconventional. Inspiring. AIR STREAM DRY SACK PUMP Storage by day, pump by night. The Air Stream Dry Sack Pump is a dual purpose dry sack and pump. It features a low profile valve plug that is compatible with our multi-function valve found on all of our sleeping mats and Aeros pillows. With two to three cycles of air, your sleeping mat will be inflated with minimal condensation on the inside of your mat and no dizziness from puffing. The lightweight 15D Ultra-Sil Nano dry sack is large enough to store your sleep system for easy packing during the day. 15D ULTRA-SIL The lightest coated fabric that Sea to Summit manufactures, the 15 Denier Ultra-Sil is a siliconized nylon fabric with a polyurethane (PU) inner coating for mild waterproofing. This ultralight fabric has a 1,200mm hydrostatic head. Highlights The Air Stream Dry Sack Pump is big enough to store your entire sleep system, but compact and light enough to not make a dent in your overall pack volume. Also, 15D Ultra-Sil fabric will keep the contents inside dry from the elements. Inflates most sleeping mats in only two or three compressions. Fully seam sealed with valve plug. • It doesn't fit all air valves
I bought it to help with a camping air mattress and it doesn't even fit if I had to guess it is proprietary to a specific valve good dry bag I guess

  • Great Alternative
For car camping trips, this works as advertised at quickly inflating my sea to summit deluxe SI pads. When backpacking this bag serves as a great dry pack for extra clothing that goes inside my backpack, the air opening at the bottom serves as a super easy way to get the excess air out of the bag like a vacuum pack. This is not a durable bag meant for water sports (for that get the "big river" bags) but as a storage option for inside of a backpacking pack, or just as an accessory so you don't faint blowing up your sleeping pad, this is great! ... show more

  • Works well for my setup
I use this as my water tight sack for my down sleeping bag and clothes at the bottom of my pack as well as to inflate my REI sleeping pad and it works well in both cases. Inflating the sleeping pad takes about five "pumps" plus a breath of air to top it off. I have not yet tested the water resistance of the bag but it seems like it should keep its contents dry just fine. My only concern is about the longevity of this product. The material feels rather thin and it feel as though it's getting a decent stretch when I use it to inflate my pad. It's lasted a few months a multiple trips so far but I will update if anything changes. ... show more

  • Love this as a complement to my Comfort Plus Air Mattress
Fills my air mattress in no time, and I'm not about to pass out when I'm done. Great design, easy to use, and despite it's (extremely light) weight, rugged enough to endure some hard use. I bought this while stationed in Africa with the UN to go with a sea to summit comfort plus air mattress. They make a great pair, function seamlessly and made setting up the sleeping area a breeze. They've since made it back 'state-side' and have accompanied me and my boys on some more enjoyable camping experiences. Even if this one failed, I'd by it again without a second thought. ... show more

  • Not abrasion resistant, otherwise good.
Works great, just fragile. Quickly and easily fills my sea to summit sleeping pad with no added moisture from my breath. The only downside is the silnylon fabric is very susceptible to abrasion, a plastic buckle on a compression sack was nearly able to rub a hole through the dry bag after just a few miles of hiking. Altogether a worthwhile purchase as long as you are willing to limit its contact with hard materials. ... show more

  • Pretty flimsy little bag for thirty five dollars
Pretty flimsy little bag for thirty five dollars. Does work to inflate the new sea to summit pads...but as I sat there hunched over in my tent filling this and pressing on it five to six times to fill up my pad I wondered "couldn't I already be done if I just used my mouth??" As I used it over the course of the week It became easier. My main problem here is the silly high price tag for such an insignificant item. ... show more

  • Blowing from a foot away filed this bad twice and then you just " roll" the air ...
Who knew what the venturi effect was and how it works in backpacking. This is one of the neatest inventions I've used. Blowing from a foot away filed this bad twice and then you just " roll" the air into the sleeping pad. Literally two breaths of blowing did the trick. Watch their video to see how. I found blowing by mouth into the one-way valve topped off the pad. Buy this, not the little bitty blow up pump they also sell as an option. You will not be disappointed once you get the hang of it. ... show more

  • The hype is real
I've always thought these things seemed unnecessary and silly. Then I received one of these things as a Christmas gift. It fully inflates my Sea to Summit UltraLight Insulated Mat in less than 2 pumps. It's amazing and it adds negligible space and weight to your pack. I just stuff it in my mat's stuff sack, and you wouldn't know it was in there. I'm terrified I'm going to rip it because the material feels incredibly thin, but I've had no problems so far. ... show more
