I loved this controller at first, the trigger clicks like mouse buttons. Unfortunately, I have button sticking on X and B. Never spilled anything on it, just bad sticking. I applied alcohol to a swab and cleaned it, which helped a little but I think it just has weak springs. If it weren’t for that I’d rate this controller a 5 star. I love the layout of the underside buttons far better than the Xbox Pro 2 (in which the charging port breaks easily on) ... show more

First off, I love gaming im a big halo fan. And let me just say this, its been a long 22 years of halo im just trying to continue playing and get better. And this controller that scuf instinct pro has delivered and brought to me has stepped my game up so much im now onyx at the newest halo infinite. So let's get into detail... First off the controller durability is amazing ive had zero problems. At first I thought I had stick drift when I started playing with it at first, but it went away and I've had no stick drift the last 9 months of hard core gaming I've been playing with this controller. Now the sicks are amazing feel amazing move so smooth on the anti friction rings they did there job there trust me. And I must say the trigger and bumpers are amazing especially the trigger mouse click stops they are so fun and satisfying to play with and take your game to the next level of course!! Don't even get me started on the conformt and customization. It is truly an amazing feel and look with too much to choose from I can't wait to hold this controller the next day. Let's start off with the problems I had: After only four hours across two sessions the RB button no longer works consistently. Often times games won't register when the button is pressed. It's not related to the "Instant Trigger" feature as the button has issues with or without that feature turned being used. I've taken off the front face, which is held on via magnet, to make see if there was anything interfering with the button and there wasn't. As far as I can tell it just refuses to work on a consistent basis. Considering how this controller costs over $200 and I only used it for four hours that's hardly encouraging. Another thing to note is the physical tabs that the Instant Trigger features uses can be in an awkward spot depending on how you hold your controller. They're positioned at the lower part of the battery cover which is where my middle finger naturally rests as I use the controller. When you're not using the Instant Trigger feature the tab that activates it sticks straight out, causing your finger to rest on what is essentially a hard plastic spike. Depending on how you hold the controller this may or may not be an issue for you, but for me it made the controller pretty uncomfortable, causing me to hold it in ways that aren't natural to me. **I can't stress this enough, be sure to check where your fingers rest in relation to the Instant Trigger tabs to see if this will become an issue for you as well.** Problems aside, the rubber grip of the controller is very nice and smooth and the buttons/paddles on the back of the controller are pretty well thought out and easy to access. Unfortunately with the RB button defect and the uncomfortable position of the Instant Trigger tabs I'll be returning this. A controller this expensive should not have button problems after only four hours or be fairly uncomfortable as well. Unfortunately the lack of reliability and comfort along with the high pricing makes this a one-star item for me. ... show more

I have had my Scuf since 2022 and I have used it nearly every day of my life (not exactly but you get it). It has held up great and I have had no joystick drift or issues with buttons.     • A Game-Changing Controller with Mixed Durability and Customer Service

I've been using the SCUF Instinct Pro Controller for my Xbox gaming sessions, and it's been a game-changer, enhancing my performance in both first-person and third-person shooters like Fortnite and Call of Duty. The addition of extra controls on the back has been invaluable, allowing me to keep my thumbs on the analog sticks while executing complex maneuvers seamlessly. However, the controller's durability leaves something to be desired. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the sturdiest, I'd rate it a 6. While it's held up to regular use fairly well, I've encountered two significant issues. Firstly, the left stick developed severe drift after some time, despite my careful handling of the controller. Although customer service was excellent during my initial contact, the repair process was swift and efficient. Unfortunately, a year later, another problem arose when the back left button unexpectedly snapped. This time, my experience with customer service was disappointing. It took multiple requests and nearly two weeks to get a response. While the eventual assistance from Darian was helpful, I was frustrated to receive conflicting information about warranty coverage. Initially assured that the repair would be covered, I later received an unexpected invoice for $74, leaving me feeling misled and dissatisfied. Despite these setbacks, the controller itself remains top-notch, and I eagerly await the return of my repaired unit. Overall, while the SCUF Instinct Pro Controller has significantly improved my gaming experience, its durability issues and inconsistent customer service tarnish an otherwise stellar product. ... show more
