  • Works great
Size: 2 Channel Style: 80W Color: Gray
It works perfect for my application. I needed to connect my car radio to my amp. My car radio does not have line level outputs, only speaker out. Can't tell you how much input wattage it could handle, but it handles my 20 watts.

  • Great for adding a amplifier to your stock car stereo
Size: 2 Channel Style: 80W Color: Gray
I used these to add rca’s to the back of my stock stereo…..they work great, and are adjustable…probably best one for the price…scosche makes quality stuff…..these actually work better than the kicker or fosgate branded ones….just make sure you zip tie it under your dash, or they’ll slap around…..

  • YOU NEED THIS TO ASSIST YOUR SUB AMP
Size: 2 Channel Style: 80W Color: Gray
First of all,....if you are looking to add subwoofer speaker(s) to your auto audio system, and you have purchased the Subwoofer speakers, and have a separate dedicated amplifier for those speakers,...AND your intention is to tap into your existing speakers circuit as your audio source,...then you NEED this item. On your dedicated subwoofer amplifier, there will most likely already be a subsonic filter control, and audio input (GAIN) attenuation controls for left and right channels, so you assume you already have all that you need, but can't figure out WHY your audio output to the sub speakers is so distorted and over-driving the speakers. That is because the Subsonic filter, and Gain controls on the amplifier are poorly attempting to attenuate higher frequencies and isolate lower frequencies AFTER your amplifier has already amplified them. Which is actually a lot of extra work, and wasted energy for an amplifier to do. So, the amplifier is essentially working too hard to amplify frequencies you don't even want to go to the sub speakers. What the manufacturers of this device DON'T mention, is that it not only variably attenuates the volume of the incoming left and right channels of audio to your amplifier, but it does something even MORE important. It removes or blocks the higher (unwanted) frequencies BEFORE they enter your subwoofer amplifier, so, it is using all it's power to only amplify the low frequencies that sound good through subwoofer speakers. This isn't in the specs on this device,...but that is exactly why it is a necessary component to the above mentioned audio setup. I have a 2008 Honda Goldwing GL1800 motorcycle, with this device tapping into the audio to my rear speakers, then the output from this device is jumpered to the input of the dedicated 1800 watt subwoofer amplifier, via two SHORT RCA type cables. (Composite audio/video cables like the ones used to connect TV's to standard DVD players). And from the amplifier....it outputs to TWO 8 inch "Kicker Competition" subwoofer speakers mounter inside bottom of the side storage compartments, with cutouts for sound and subsonic waves to escape.. And boy oh boy, does that bike have some kickass ("Where the hell is all that Bass coming from?") Bass now. To set up the whole assembly, play some music on your primary audio source that you know has good subwoofer tones. slowly increase the PRIMARY audio sources volume, to pre-distortion level to your REGULAR speakers, then back off a few numbers to give yourself room to later increase volume without distorting your main speakers. Next, set the volume controls on the new device to halfway for both left and right. Also set the attenuation (input Gain or Volume controls) left and right inputs on the subwoofer amplifier to halfway for both. If there is a Subsonic filter control on the amplifier, set it also to halfway, for starters. Adjust later to suit your tastes. If there is a Frequency switch on the Sub amplifier, set it to the lower frequency range. This arrangement will get you in the ballpark of average subwoofer output to your sub speakers, If there is a Bass Boost control on your amplifier, if it is adjustable, set it to halfway. If it is a switch, try it first with it off, then later, with it on to determine which you prefer. The device pictured is slightly different from what you will get. The one I got had only 4 wires on one side for Left and Right inputs, and, on the other end,..the two RCA type outputs to jumper to the RCA type inputs on the amplifier. And the Left and Right volume attenuation controls on the top. Once you initially set them, to about halfway,...you won't need to readjust them . Without this device to pre-filter the higher frequencies before amplification of the lower frequencies, you are relying on the controls on the Sub Amplifier to do all the filtering, and they do not do nearly as good a job, as pre-filtering the unwanted frequencies, BEFORE they are amplified. Best of all, is the low cost. A more expensive device, will do the same thing, but only cost more. ... show more

  • Worked Perfectly - Subwoofer to 2 Channel
Size: 2 Channel Style: 80W Color: Gray
I did not want to run multiple lengths of speaker wire to my sub and back as my sub was in the corner away from my receiver. This was a great way to get 1 cable over to my sub from my receiver that lacked a subwoofer out. I twisted and soldered the speaker wires and the leads from this unit (after testing it all) and then ran a y connection (RCA) to a 25 foot long subwoofer cable. Works like a charm. ... show more

  • Horrible materials and construction. Don't touch the gain controls or buy something better
Size: 2 Channel Style: 80W Color: Gray
Do not by enticed by the low price of this product. It is very poorly constructed. It worked out of the box, but was putting out a very weak signal. I read the 1 star reviews about adjusting the gain dials, and how they break easily. How bad could it be, I thought. Well, extremely bad. With VERY gentle pressure the dials broke on the first try. This is a shoddy piece of equipment, made with unreliable materials. You get better quality products from Kinder Surprise Eggs. I will say that it worked well before the gain dials broke off. The volume on the amplifier had to be at 80% to get a medium level output. If you're fine with that then I recommend this product. Just never touch the gain controls. Ever. Look at it wrong, and it will break. Believe the 1-star reviews about the gain controls breaking easily. They replaced cheap reliable metal screws with cheap unreliable plastic flaky ones. Also, beware of purchasing from DiscountCentralOnline. They mixed up my replacement, which I had to pay for to send it back to them. In short, the cost was the same as the product and am now out that amount of money with nothing to show for it. They were quite courteous however, which I appreciated. ... show more
