Used this kit for several Ford vehicles (2002 F150, 2003 and 2011 Crown Vic) and while it works, it just seems cheap. Lots of extra parts for my applications, and instructions are a little vague. I have had this kit in my F150 for over 10 years and it does hold up, but it really is not secure, I can just pull the radio out of the mount in about 3 seconds. While it does not just fall out or anything, theft would take no time at all to do. ... show more

Called manufacturer for correct model for my 2009 Ford Expedition and oddly they said didn't have a model for my vehicle. I then asked him about this model (had done some research) and he said yes it was correct, guess they outsource support. Unit arrived and followed instructions on trimming certain tabs and unit fit radio and dashboard correctly. Had a few centering adjustments to make and am very pleased. This bracket seems stronger than the one the aftermarket installer used. Time will tell but seems much stronger. Would recommend. ... show more

Seemed like it was going to work great until I tried putting my stereo in it (Dual brand - common…). The stereo wasn’t a fit for the trim. I had to cut out the plastic of the trim the slide it through, then it was just a tight fit with no screws holding it in place. This kit is complicated when you first open it, but with all the models it fits it just takes a little imagination to see which parts you will need. Once you see how you need to configure it it is a piece of cake. It takes a little trimming of unnecessary tabs that you will not need for you installation. That took about 10 minutes with my Dremel, from there it was smooth sailing and a perfect fit that looks like my HU was made for my truck. Very sharp look for sure. I've been installing my own stereo equipment for about 40 years and this is one of the best installation kits I have used. I don't see how you can go wrong with this kit. ... show more
