I liked the product. You just have to figure it out. First you have to SLOWLY separate the bottom plastic from the top cover to be able to install the shiny metal piece that clips into the lid. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMPLETELY SEPARATE IT, just enough to be able to work with the top. The three slots on metal bar should face to the rear, the springs, hook ends, slide into this, see the picture on the product. The trick to install is patience. lol. you will have to leave the plastic on the bottom of the consol top lose, then will feed the bar into the holes of the console and the top, that line up. Look for 2 small pin holes in the console, this is where the spring parts, the straight ends, will line up and slide into the holes. You will feed the rod through the first holes of the top and console, then through the spring, then through the middle hole of the console and top, then through the second spring, now is the time to try and line up the 2nd spring into the small pin hole, then line up rod into the last holes of the consol and top. I used a small hammer and the rod from the old part, butted it up against the new rod, and slowly adjusted the rod into the last 2 end holes and to seat it in place. Now slowly snap the bottom plastic that you separated earlier SLOWLY into the top. You are done. ... show more
