Starting off, if you don't read the rest of this review, just know that this is truly one of the best quality bikes I've ever purchased! You won't regret it, go buy it now! I bought the the 16" bike for my 4 year old niece's birthday. She was absolutely ecstatic and took right to it. The bike was extremely easy to assemble. It took a total of about 15 minutes to put together. It took more time to get it completely unwrapped than it did to put together. There are 3 main components to the bike and you didn't get any extra tools to assemble it. Each piece snapped right into place without any guess work. The instructions were straightforward and to the point, but descriptive enough for me to follow along with. The only part that was a little bit harder for me was to twist the handlebars into place. I'm sure I could have gotten it with a little bit more effort, but I left it up to my husband to quickly lock into place. I loved the ease and speed of putting it together and I am not the person who usually does that in our household. The bike is made of high quality materials. Even the plastic streamers on the handle bars are not your typical cheap, plastic ones that normally come flying off when riding your bike. These ones you'll have to seriously man handle to try and rip off. The paint seems very durable and will keep the bike looking brand new for a long time. The paint color is a little bit more blue than teal like it says in the description, but is still very aesthetically pleasing. One thing I loved about this bike above others I've had for my own kids, that made me lean towards this bike for my niece is the handle on the back of the seat. I know how hard it can be to bend over and try to balance a kid when they're trying to learn how to ride a bike without training wheels. This will help tremendously when that time comes for her. Another thing I loved is that you can adjust the height of the seat in a snap. You just pull out the safety lever and adjust the height quickly. There's no tools needed at all. The front tire attachment point flange on the forks was not welded on at the correct angle which prevented the axle bolt from entering the nut. I had to bend the metal flange to the right angle so that the axle bolt would properly thread onto the nut. The forks were also bent inward preventing the front tire from being inserted. I had to use a scissor jack to spread the forks to the proper width. ... show more

The bike is a great bike and my 4 year old son loves it. Unfortunately he has not had a chance to ride it yet as we did not receive all the parts to install the training wheels. After getting the run around a little, we finally reached a place from either the seller or manufacturer where they were going to send parts. All we were missing were the washer type things and the two brackets. When we got the replacement parts (which was an ordeal in itself because they sent it to the wrong address) it was a set of two training wheels but only one wheel had the complete part set. We were still missing one of the brackets. At this point we would have just gone out and gotten a bracket ourselves except it was a unique shape. So we called again, got someone who said they could send just the missing parts (rather than another set of wheels that we don’t need). Well, we got those missing parts and the bracket that came was not the correct one for our bike. So here we are today, 7 week’s after my kid’s birthday and he still hasn’t been able to ride his new bike. Without the bracket, the attachment of the training wheel is not sturdy and the bike falls over after a few minutes of him sitting on it. I would say if you could guarantee that the bike comes with everything you need, this is a great purchase. However, after now a third attempt counting the initial purchase, we still don’t have what we need. Very disappointing. ... show more

This bike was a waste of money and time. It was easier to assemble than other bikes we have purchased. And it looks cute. But the pedals fall off every 2-3 outings, which is frustrating and dangerous for my kid. In addition, after less than 2 weeks of use, the valve stem separated from the rear tire, making it impossible to hold any air. We had an extremely difficult time replacing the rear tire tube and eventually gave up. It is impossible to ride and my kid is disappointed and scared of bikes now because the pedals kept coming off with normal, supervised use. Worst. Bike. Ever. ... show more
