I'm old and have very thin skin such that even an old, long sleeved dress shirt doesn't keep pointed trimmed twig ends from bringing blood when I'm working trimming bushes. I finally researched arm protection, settled on the Schwer cut resistant sleeves and ordered them. Fast delivery and fast utilization and no pokes, no scratches, and no BLOOD. Realize that this is Florida in the summer time so you sweat but as you move the air passing through the woven outer protective layer to the damp inner layer actually has a cooling effect which is quite pleasant. The best part about them is that you can start a job without waiting for the inevitable tweak that means that you have to take a break to go clean up and dress another annoying break in the skin. Bright color is good reminder to be cautious. Easy to put on, adjustable size of axillary strap allows comfortable fit depending on upper arm size and arm shape. Good protection for pruning trees, hedges, bushes. Projects from cuts, scrapes, scratches, skin tears and most punctures. I did get a small puncture from citrus thorn but only the fine tip went through the knit on edge. I chose the medium level but I'm very pleased with the protection level. Allows me to enjoy working in my garden again Soft on skin, supple and reasonably cool. Much more pleasant than my old stiff heavy leather sleeves. Really enjoying them. I got these sleeves because I need to move a lot of sharp rocks. These sleeves are great and have done an excellent job protecting my arms from scratches I would get through normal fabric. The sleeve length is good too, with the material stretch the sleeve itself stretches for a snug fit up the entire arm. The downside is the velcro straps are made for pencil thin arms. I can barely get these to clasp above the bicep and if I flex my arm they come undone OR I have to tighten them so much my arm goes numb. As a result I instead have to fasten these down by my elbow which kind of defeats the purpose. There is no reason why the velcro strap couldn't have been made an extra 2-3 inches longer and not had this problem. ... show more

My husband works outside a lot and his skin has become much thinner as he has gotten older. As a result, his arms have started to bruise and develop cuts and skin tears much easier. These arm sleeves are working wonderfully to protect his arms. Skin tears and cuts don’t happen when he wears these and the bruising has lessened considerably. These sleeves are better then I imagined they would be. The factory I work at is very hot. Sleeve are required PPE. The ones work provides are thick fabric and make my arms breakout in a wash. These sleeves I ordered are soft, light breathable fabric. They are so comfortable. The velcro top is perfect to keep them from sliding down, and being to tight. I was so happy I ordered more. Too long & loose for my arms, and for a woman, I have big arms and sleeves on women’s clothing are usually too tight. My upper arms measure 13 inches around. I was hoping these would be helpful for working in my garden. I tried them on when I received them and immediately noticed that they were way too long. The Velcro closure at the top has a base of very hard plastic, and that immediately cut into the top part of my arm, just opposite the top of my under arm. They were loose fitting on my arms and actually wrinkled. And no matter how tight I made the Velcro they slid down as I moved my arms. I will return these and see if I can find a pair that have good reviews that discuss fitting a woman’s arms versus men’s. ... show more

we're doing a lot of fire mitigation and my job is stacking the wood - split logs and branches - my arms were getting torn up and bruised even tho I was wearing long sleeves - I put these protective arm sleeves on and no scratches or bruises - the sleeves are very comfortable to wear and I really liked the thumb opening - as we continue to sort the split wood/branches I'm know my arms are kept protected and I can now help in other ways like piling slash - really happy with this product!!!! ... show more
