I bought this gift for my grand daughter who could not be here for Christmas. It was delayed in giving it to her because of weather and distance. Today 2-7-23 it was opened and she loved he horse barn but could not finish the stable because of three plus fences that were broken in the original box. I went to Amazon but the return window was closed 1-23-23! Not very happy given the high price for the product! I will try to get a representation from Amazon but I am not holding my breath! I wanted her to open the box not me ----therefore I was not aware of the broken pieces! ... show more

Not worth the money!! The parts do not click into the spots and when you push it feels like it will break. My daughter was so excited about it I didn’t want to return it. But feel like it won’t last long which is upsetting for over $100

    • Excellent Horse Barn and Stable Playset, Couldn't be happier
This is perfect for a gift. Children love this. I am amazingly pleased with the Schleich Horse Barn and Stable Playset. It is massive. The items are housed in a rectangular colorful, descriptive, and sturdy cardboard package measuring 22” x 14.75” x 5.5” and weighing in at near 9½ POUNDS of fun. The quality and detail are old world perfect, all the way down to the tack bars and haystacks and so forth. Makes sense, this is made in Germany. The price is near triple digits, however, with care, this could easily last long into adulthood. We have a friend who is retired and still has their original collection from when they were a child. We received 96 perfect pieces, the 15” in height stable/horse barn playset/riding center with many accessories, two (2) horses, rider, and all those farm accessories. Both boys and girls aged three (3) and older are attracted to this set, it’s the horses, I would imagine they will age out before they graduate from elementary school, so get early, for years of fun, imaginative play. We really appreciate the opportunity for our children to explore with their imagination. This helps in hand-eye coordination, dexterity, imaginative play, and care and responsibility for the set. The attention to detail is incredible. I would not recommend this to children under three (3), for safety’s sake, our little ones at that age must have everything in their mouth and there are some small pieces involved here. Assembly is intuitive, just follow the instructions or find video on the net for ideas and direction. The stable snaps together and can be disassembled and reassembled repeatedly, I was always just careful. Other name brand characters and animals can fit within the stable, so long as their dimensions are comparable, for characters and ponies, think under (4”). This is a sturdy and durable set, however, we suggest indoor activities, to avoid loss and such. We have a designated and elevated play area, with walls, this is placed within, it’s like a big, fenced ranch. This is like another Schleich pony set, just coloring and ponies are different. We gifted this to our animal loving daughter. The toy is very nice and well made. The middle roof piece was a little difficult to figure out but we got it.
