Maybe I didn’t read the description well enough, but there is an image of treasure you see through the telescope and that’s all you can see. The image doesn’t change. You can’t remove it to just look through the telescope. Not exactly great but my kid likes it enough.

Great quality for the money! Has been a big hit since Christmas. Only thing I’m not a big fan of is the treasure display on the spyglass. It’s not listed on the product page, so I thought the glass was clear. The treasure chest display is pretty much all you can see from the scope since it takes up most of it. This so good for imagination and the pirate treasure chest at end of it when looking into it is fun addition but way overpriced in my opinion. The hidden flap was fun and turning the eye piece end was surprise and could seeing more of map. My toddler loving it.
