  • Yes this Monitor is worth it.
I’ve had this monitor for about a year and a half now, and it’s been wonderful, however the display port no longer works but the hdmi port work just fine, so I use it for my Nintendo Switch instead of my pc. I don’t know if this problem is from wear and tear over time or maybe I caused it somehow, but other than the display port giving out on me, this monitor is well worth it! ... show more

  • Good monitors
I have 2. Bought 4 years ago. They are decent monitors. 1 has a intermittent issue with horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen but goes away after a few minutes. But not bad for being 4 years old.

  • An excellent gaming monitor for the price
The Spectre C248B is an excellent monitor for the price. I was skeptical about buying this monitor because the reviews for it were a mixed bag. However, nearly all gaming monitors on Amazon within the price range $120 - $140 price range appear to have very mixed reviews, so I decided to gamble on this monitor. The result was a great monitor that performs exactly how you would expect it to given its specs and pricing. The monitor arrives with everything you need to set it up including a screwdriver, so there is nothing you need to purchase for set up. The curve of the monitor yields for a slightly more immersive gaming experience, but not enough to be a major selling point. The picture quality is vibrant and clear with no visible pixels, and 144hz provides a high performance gaming experience that is certainly more noticeable if coming form a lower Hz setting such as 60 or 75. A few tips to ensure you get the best out of this monitor: 1) Use an HDMI 2.0 or higher, a display port, or a Dual Link DVI-D port for your GPU to monitor connection (a display port is included in the box), as it is necessary for 144Hz. 2) Make sure you manually change the refresh rate of you monitor to 144Hz in the advanced display settings for Wndows. 3) Enable FreeSync in the monitor settings if using an AMD Radeon GPU. 4) Enable FreeSync, Radeon Anti-Lag, Radeon Image Sharpening, and Radeon Enhanced Sync in the AMD Radeon Software for your GPU if applicable. 5) Update to the graphics settings of your games to accommodate your new monitor. 6) Make sure you opt for the monitor to arrive in Amazon packing during checkout to ensure your monitor is protected during shipping. ... show more

  • Good deal at price point.
Here is a short review. So this monitor has very few reviews but I decided to pull the trigger. I have only had the monitor for a few days but So far so good. There is another 27inch monitor from sceptre that appears to be basically the same monitor just slightly larger screen size. There are several reviews on that product if you are curious. Monitor came nicely packaged. As others have stated it does need a little messing around with the setting to get the picture just right. I found that the gamma needed to be turned up on mine by one click think I have 2.4. I would like to be able to turn the brightness down some but on my black level test the setting of level 50 is the lowest you can go and still view all the black levels. So you do get a slightly washed out appearance with some images but it gets better if you turn the brightness down and sacarfice the black level. I play league of legends and on my gaming laptop with nvidia 1050 via hdmi to hdmi I was able to achieve near the 144 fps. I did have to lower my in game settings to get it but that must be because my gpu has reached its limits. I wanted to share this because there are many 144hz monitors in this price range but majority only support 144hz via display port. My laptop only had hdmi and usb 3.0 like many consumer grade laptops and desktops. You can buy a converter but that causes you to use up a usb 3.0 port as well as your hdmi port. I am not an expert by any means but the build quality seems pretty decent. I am not sure what type of lcd pannel is used. On the other 27inch sceptre stated it is a VA for this one I cannot find any info. Either wait it doesn’t really matter because if your buying this it is for gaming so you are sacarficing viewing angle and color accuracy for reduced input lag and faster refresh rates. I think it is definitely worth the buy at under $200 as long as it stands the test of time. This review is my own personal opinion. I paid for this product with my own hard earned money. ... show more

  • Package wasn't in covered box + some minor issues.
I love this monitor! My boyfriend got his last year and I loved it so much that I got my own! There are some small issues though. First, when I received it, it didn't come in a typical Amazon box, which covers what the product is! The first picture shows how it was left in the middle of my porch. When I got home I was able to see what it was from a few houses down. Thankfully I live in a very safe neighborhood where we have security cars going around to make there theft never happens, but if i had lived in my old house a few streets down, it definitely would've been stolen! That is a major issue as not everyone has that type of security in their Neighborhoods. I've had TVs and monitors stolen due to this very issue and I hope that, by bringing this up, hopefully this is an issue that can be resolved! Second, the first few times I turned my PC on, some weird stuff happened. The first one was all the monitor settings suddenly went to 0, so everything was black and white. I don't know what happened, but all the settings just went to 0 whilst it was on. The second one was the monitor said it was on, but the screen was black. I just pressed windows+shift+C and the picture came back. The sleep mode screen was flashing some testing stuff too?? I really don't understand. But they are very very simple mistakes. Very easy to fix. love it! ... show more
