I love this hat, I’ve really never worn much other than trucker style baseball caps, and wanted to branch out a little bit. Right out of the box the fit was almost perfect, and thoughtfully there were two pieces of fitting foam included (sticky on one side). I only needed 1, so I placed it at the back of the hat and held onto the other. I haven’t had the chance to wear the hat in windy conditions, and may need to add the second strip for a little tighter fit. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the red and yellow feathers. I believe I will probably remove the original feathers, and add some pheasant, turkey, or duck feathers in the future. I plan to wear it hunting and just casually. Overall, I am very pleased with this hat it’s affordable, light, stylish, and well-made. Also, it’s pretty warm for cooler weather, but I feel like you could wear it in warmer weather up to 70° F. ... show more

I love hats. I think it is possibly due to the fact that I can't find one baby picture of myself where I don't have a hat on. Parents be aware of how your actions can effect your child for life! I have to dress decent for work and the ball cap was not cutting it, so I FINALLY purchased this hat. It has kept my head warm and dry this wet winter. I will probably be buying another Scala hat in the not too distant future because I get great compliments about the hat, even when it is setting on the shelf above my desk. The only problem I'm going to have buying another hat is find one with the style of this one. Guess I will just need to buy a different color! ... show more

This is the second hat of this brand that I have bought, the last one I bought in 2013 and I have used it as a winter hat and a rain hat. It has been rained on, snowed on and stood up perfectly. Anything can only last so long. My last one I wore every year during winter and the last 5 winters have been in the upper Peninsula of Michigan and it keeps my head warm and dry. For some time I had wanted an Indiana Jones hat. I began looking at a few and I liked the Indiana Jones style hat but not with the ribbon band with the bow tie. The Scala Classico Outback hat was just what I was looking for. The hat did come in an Amazon box, without any packing material, but was in perfect shape. I would say that the size chart is true to fit. I needed a 7 1/4 so I ordered a Large (7 1/4 - 7/3/8). The hat was just a little large so I inserted a couple of foam strips in the inner band and it fits great. The shape of the hat is just what I wanted. This hat looks great and true to fit. Love that it is crushable. I can put it in my motorcycle saddlebag without concern. When I get to my destination I just pull it out, give it a shake and it returns to normal.

No complaints on this hat. It could have been packaged better, but it re-shaped itself just fine without any extra effort. The fit was perfect (I wear a 7 7/8). It looks sharp and is very comfortable.

The media could not be loaded. I have several hats and a lot of them are Bailey, a couple Stetsons and I needed an everyday hat that will take the wear and tear of work, I n and out of the truck and the weather. This hat has seen it all, the rain, being crushed, sat on, dropped, spilled on and the likes. It held up to it all and retained its shape and come right back to the original way it was. The color is really nice it's a good thick felt material and not cheap at all it came with feathers I took my feathers out. This hat has a leather accent band around it which is very nice and thick. The fit is true to size so measure your head with a tape measure and order correctly I put a couple of pieces of the foam that the hat came in, cut into strips and placed them inside the band to give thr hata tight fit to hold during the windy days. Hope this helps and if you get this hat, I'm sure you'll enjoy it For the price you just can't beat it for everyday wear or something that you want to grab and go out the door in a hurry but still looks good enough to go out in y'all have a great day. 😉 ... show more
