I brought the item based on its product description and was excited to it. But, big disappointment upon receiving it, the product is cheaply made except the chair, the hoses for connection are barely 1 foot, and everything else is poorly made, the remote doesn’t work, and the steamer is made of cheap plastic and feels like it could break easily, I’m returning it. ... show more

I was very excited to try this steam sauna. I enjoy hot and cold therapy, and feel more energized when I incorporate these therapies into my routine. I received the steam sauna today and immediately got to work on assembly. In all, it took about 10 minutes to assemble the frame and install the shell. After another few minutes of filling the steamer and hooking up the hoses, I fired it up, on level 9, set the timer for an hour, and got dressed for the occasion. After about 20 minutes of pre-heating, I climbed into the steam tent. Upon opening the zipper I found there to be a slight vapor. It was definitely warmer in the tent than in the room it was in, but it certainly was not hot. I then waited for the tent top get hot and steamy, but that never happened. After 35 minutes, I determined I was wasting my time and got out. It warmed up some, and everything in the room had a coating of moisture on it, including myself. However, and unfortunately, I never broke a sweat, there never was a vapor in the air that you could see, and it never got hot. The only place it was warm was close to the pill box. Keep in mind my perspective is formed by past steam room and sauna experiences. I have a sauna in my home that gets up to 195F. I have been in steam rooms where you can't see 3' in front of you because the vapor is so thick. In fact, my wife asked if I needed her to come and get me out of there at a certain point (safety thing). Well, it never got anywhere near the point of therapy in that tent. It was warm enough that I dozed off, but with my 6'2" frame and 225 pounds, I was not very comfortable in the tiny chair included with this steam sauna tent. Otherwise, the tent is plenty big enough for my frame. I was excited to get this steam sauna tent, but was left with much to be desired. Thank you for reading my review. ... show more
