I am really happy with this piece of furniture from Sauder! I was a little skeptical purchasing on Amazon since quality control is lacking here, but it is a high quality sewing cabinet. Takes a little time, but easy to put together without a electric drill. The pieces are thick and heavy, not "cheap" looking. The vintage oak color is not as warm as pictured, but still a very nice cool brown color. The only thing it needs is one of those hydraulic sewing machine lifts that would make it level with the top of the cabinet for better ergonomics while sewing. Perfect size for an NYC apartment. Much easier for 2 people to put together. Took about 2 hours to put together. This table the shelf underneath is low enough for a sewing machine to sit on for storage. Shelves in the cupboard side are adjustable and I was able to fit the serger and have storage for other items.

The actual cabinet build looks great and it's not hard to put together, however I advise you to have a drill or an impact on hand as you can't turn the hidden cams and screws tight with a screwdriver! The only things I have a problem with is there's paint chips here and there. And also the on basket had a large Crack in it. But still a great cabinet over all. I like the storage space, the work surface, the sturdiness of the table, the roller wheels that can be locked, the color/design of the table. Cabinet was a bit of a challenge to assemble. Instructions were good but we put two hinges on upside down (not noted in the instructions) but we finally figured it out. The slide latch was missing but a replacement was sent promptly. Had great customer service from the company to solve the problems.
