Bought this for my 4 month old granddaughter. She loves seeing her reflection. The mirror is a really good quality and she likes the texture of the bugs. The spinning ball is a little stiff to spin, but thinking it will loosen over time. I like that it stands by itself.

From the minute my daughter saw this mirror she loved it. She squealed, did the grab hands sign and hugged it and kisses herself in the mirror. (5mths old) She's now 11 months and still loves it just as much. The ladybird's belly is a ball that rolls from black to white to teach them differences in tones and the felt is very soft and durable (she bites and pulls at it and so far, no damage). There is a little bug under one of the green leaves that makes for a nice surprise. The bumble bee is great. It twists in both directions and clicks as it goes. Very soft and padded and incredibly lightweight so no chance of LO hurting themselves as they wave it around in the air. The only thing that bugs me a little (pardon the pun) is that for a floor mirror, its not very good at standing up on the floor. If it opened a little more, even half an inch it would stand better but don't let that put you off. There are Velcro straps on the back so it can be attached to a crib for entertainment. I bought two of these for my baby grandsons. One is 6 months old and the other is 7 months old. They both love looking at themselves and enjoy playing with the ladybug and bee wings. The ladybug has a ball that spins also. It is very light weight and easy for the babies to manipulate. I gave it four stars because if you want it to stand up on its own, it really doesn't stand very well. The easel-type bottom doesn't open far enough to stand well. It works best to just lean it against something. This isn't really a deal breaker because most babies start grabbing it and picking it up anyway. ... show more

I bought this mirror because it was cute and matched the Sassy Go Go Bugs that my daughter loves so much. She loves the crunchy leaves on the bottom and tries to spin the rattle on the lady bug. She also enjoys talking to that other baby looking back at her. The image is a little distorted but you're going to have that with any mirror that isn't made of glass -- as a baby-safe mirror, this one is made of plastic. My baby doesn't seem to care about the distortion. As other reviewers have mentioned, the product that arrived isn't the product pictured. I'm going to do my best to describe it -- you'll have to use your imagination. The bugs are the same; the leaves are the same, the dots are the same. The picture shows an independent front and back that are attached to each other at the top but not the bottom (you could stick your hand through the space at the bottom or see all the way to the other side). The product I received has the front and back attached all the way around -- there is a triangle of cloth that keep them from being separated too much -- you cannot see through to the other side at any point. The problem is that it actually keeps them from being separated enough to be free-standing. Just breathing on it too hard will knock it over. Several times in the first couple days of owning it I would hear a sudden scream and find that my daughter had pulled it over onto herself. There are two Velcro straps at the bottom of the back for attaching it to a crib, but they are very short and just barely go around our crib bars. My daughter has been able to defeat the straps. I now keep it secured to the side of her Pack 'n Play with one of my husband's industrial spring clamps (at the top). Bottom line: It's a cute mirror and my daughter likes it -- but the one you get may not be exactly as pictured and you will likely have to figure out how to deal with securing it to a crib or the play-yard. ... show more
