This is a great product. It holds a shape much better than playdough. It does not dry out & get dusty like clay, and can stretch & hold a shape much better than water based products. You can use this easily by rolling it out in snakes to form letters or shapes, or you can coil the snakes into vessels. To make animals, take the warmed coils and squeeze them back into the desired form. This is a really amazing product. New Plastalina has a characteristic smell that you will dissipate over time. My 3 year old loves this. It doesn't dry out, so I don't have to worry about him leaving out. However, it is harder than playdough, so it is a little difficult for him to form. I let him use things like a small hammer and various plastic and wooden "tools" to shape it with.

I bought this for second graders to make a wreath craft for the holidays and St Lucia. This was enough for 28 kids. Great color, no smell, worked fine once kids warmed it up a bit with their hands. Bought this to add weight to fake plants outdoors that were just always blowing over. The 5# was perfect and should do the job for a fair price. Just molded the block to the bottom of the pot and stuck in the stems.
