  • Perfect
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
These bulbs are perfect. Super bright and work great. We use them for our reptile terrariums as a part of full spectrum lighting. These also help with plant growth in our natural set ups. Overall they feel really sturdy, look great, are super bright and come with a great warranty.

  • SANSI Grow light
Wattage: 15 Watts
The product arrived in good condition and timely. The light is bright enough and good for my plants as an option where there is not enough light. The size, performance, price and quality is good. I am satisfied.

  • comparing 15W vs. 24W vs. 36W
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
So at this point I have purchased 3 different sizes of Sansi grow lights, 15, 24, and 36W over the past 3 or so years. They are all excellent bulbs, so bright it is annoying to have them pointed at your eyes. I was attracted to the Sansi brand thanks to a few online reviews, especially some that used their own spectrometers to confirm that these give a proper full spectrum including a little UV. I like to think my bird likes it too since she can see UV! I wonder if the UV helps with winter depression? In summary: I recommend the 15W for individual low-light houseplants, like a mini moth orchid, succulent, or mini African violet. I recommend the 24W if you have a small collection of plants. I recommend the 36W if you have a medium collection or want to grow a fruit/veg.. I recommend multiple 36W if you have a large collection or a small tree, but if you have that many plants you probably already know what you are doing. ;) Of note: Of note is that the bulbs do get hot after running about 12hrs a day, so it hurts a little to touch the diodes directly, and do not put them in lampshades that would restrict airflow. They do not run hot enough to affect the plants whatsoever though. I have to put my hand 1 inch away from the diodes before my hand detects it as being hot. I think the passive vents do a great job of directing the heat up and away rather than down towards the plants. Also of note is that there is an audible coil whine when any of the bulbs are on. This is not loud or obtrusive (I regularly have one about 3ft from me when I am studying), but it is noticeable if you have young ears. It is also worth noting that the light cone is fairly narrow/focused, so plants directly under the bulb get significantly more light than those around the periphery. This is not a bad thing; it means more of the light is efficiently being beamed on your plants instead of scattering around the room. Below is a comparison of my personal experience with the 3 sizes: The 15W was excellent for a tall desk lamp with a few mini African Violets huddled around it. It was insufficient for outdoor plants that like full sun such as Egret Orchids. I upgraded to a 24W once my plant collection grew to the dozen mark, so I could have a larger illuminated space to work with. Of note is that this bulb was visibly warmer in color than the 15W or 36W. It reminded me of a nice incandescent bulb's glow. I am not sure if this is a consistent thing with the 24W or if it was just my bulb. Otherwise, the 24W was actually my preference for houseplant use with my personal setup. I bought the 36W for a friend to use in a fish-tank sized terrarium, again, for the wider radius able to cover more plants. It is strong! It would be interesting to see if more outdoor semi or full-sun type plants would be satisfied by the 36W; it is a very bright bulb. As is, my low-light houseplant African violets needed to be placed an extra foot away from the bulb to stop from getting sun burn or bleaching. I would mention that the bulb is quite heavy at this point, so if you are using a flexible goose-neck lamp, make sure it is nice and stiff or it might sag under the weight. Tip: If you have a proper light sensor, it is super handy when setting up your plants around your new bulb. I resorted to the free Arduino Science Journal app on my phone to compare light intensity (in lux units), and using recommended lux levels from google for my particular plants. I get about 22K lux directly ~1ft below the 36W bulb, for example, but about 8k lux ~2ft directly below. I currently have my mini african violets arranged in a ring of ~2ft diameter, about ~1.6ft below the light. This gives them the recommended ~7k lux of light according to google. ... show more

  • Really helps my plants!
Wattage: 10.0 Watts
I live in the PNW and we've entered cloudy season (the 9 months besides June-August). I put this on one of my plants that I did have in the window, which had a slight shoot trying to grow. Within a couple days I have a nice new leaf and the others are bigger and healthier! I've also been setting my nearly-ripe tomatoes in front of it to ripen and its working well for that too. I'm planning on ordering several more for more of my plants and also maybe my elderly mom who is not used to the dark winters :) ... show more

  • Affordable grow lights
Wattage: 15 Watts
I've only been using these bulbs (10W and 15W) for a few weeks. They're a nice neutral color temperature and they give off a lot of lumens. My plants seem happy. One of the 10W bulbs I bought was dead so I'll be returning that but the rest are fine. I'll update my review if anything changes. I mainly am leaving a review to let folks know that the plastic vented housing of the bulb WILL BE HOT. Too hot to touch in fact, even after only 30 seconds or so. So please heed the manufacturers warning to not put these bulbs in an enclosed space. I'm using vented shades. I'm a little frustrated because I contacted customer service about how hot these get and they basically just said "that's physics". I guess I'm glad I got a reply but that reply is not helpful. And I'm saying that as an engineer who appreciates how physics work. So I had to do my own digging and I found a helpful article from LIFX (I'd post the link but I'm not sure if Amazon will except my review if it has a link) that shares the typical heat sink temperatures of LED bulbs. It seems like they can range between 150-190F or 66-87C. I measured mine to be around 140F, although I'm guessing it's hotter than that because I truly can't touch it for even a second, which usually indicates something is above 140F. Still, it seems likely that my bulb temperatures are in the range of normal. I think it's noticeably hotter than my experience because it doesn't have a domed diffuser like your typical house bulbs. These domes are typically not too hot to touch. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to give more helpful information to you all in case you get the same silly response from customer service like I did. TLDR; yes, the bulbs get hot within seconds but this is likely in the range of normal if it's below 190F/87C. I will likely buy more of these in the future. ... show more

  • Excellent grow light
Wattage: 24.0 Watts
Worth the cost if you are a plant enthusiasts like me. I have a little over 100 plants and they all love this light. I specifically bought this for my monstera and they absolutely love it. It works well hand in hand with the soil mixture I made and my my monstera couldn't be happier.

My plants look amazing after using these lights. I had no idea what a difference these lights made. I’ve used other lights in the past, but these really came out on top. I’ve been using them for about 5 months and my plants are thriving. People are bringing their plants to me to save them. I’m purchasing these lights to give to people. ... show more

  • I have all 4 Watts - THEY ARE THE REAL DEAL
Wattage: 36.0 Watts
I have 4. They are excellent. ACTUALLY FULL SPECTRUM. The only downside is no attracted timer and you need a light fixture with clamp and replaceable bulb. But my god - the 36W is $35 and my plants look just as good as if they were outside! The plants are only a maximum on 18” away from the bulbs - anything further away would probably need a bigger setup. The heat is also something to watch for, but manageable if you let it sit or a while after turning off. Otherwise it’s basically like having them outside ... show more
