  • Excellent Landscape Staple
Item Package Quantity: 100
Thick steel staples, great for hard soils. Very reasonably priced for quality of staples. I have a mixture of clay, rocks and dirt. These staples go through this combination 97% of the time. Out of 200 staples I had a handful that I hit rocks to large to go thru. Compared to other staples these are excellent. Thickness! A lower number means a thicker staple! 8 gauge is thicker than 11 gauge. To address some other comments, the staples come in a plastic bag easy to transport and less bulky for trash. These are ANNEALED steel, they will rust which is not a problem, the rust creates a rough surface so they don’t come out. The annealed steel has a patina, gray/black surface that rubs off in your hands. Not an issue wear gloves or wash your hands. Installation: for my installation I found using a WIDE faced steel mallet worked best for hard soils. Soft soils a hammer or rubber mallet will be fine. ... show more

  • Thick and sturdy
Item Package Quantity: 200
Bought these to use on landscape fabric for a backyard project. They installed easily thanks to the chiseled tips, and they are deep enough to stay in place.

  • Covered with grease, otherwise good
Item Package Quantity: 200
Very sturdy and tips are sharpened angles instead of flat - something that really matters on hard ground. Took off a star because while sturdier than other such pins, they come coated with black grease. Need to wear gloves while handling.

  • These are going back.
Item Package Quantity: 100
I have purchased literally hundreds of landscape staples. I have about 200 galvanized 12 inchers in my shed right now. I got these because I wanted something shorter to hold down my drip system emitters and tubing. I'm going to cover them with chicken wire, tack it down with 6 inch staples, throw some rocks on top with a few fresh dog poops straight from the sources of my frustration in an effort to keep my dogs from chewing them. I'm hopeful that this will work because nothing has prevented them from chewing the drip system to this point. Anyway, I just got these. I didn't count them but believe that there are 100 staples in the bag because that's what I ordered. There is nothing on the bag to indicate how many are in there. There is nothing to indicate where they were manufactured. There is nothing to indicate what they are made of. They do appear to be of a quality gauge but I didn't open the bag. Here's my beef. When I opened the USPS packaging, I noticed that there is a bunch of black residue in the bag. See for yourself. What is that? Is it toxic? Is it something that my chewing dogs shouldn't ingest? I don't know what these are made of. They could be full of toxic chemicals for all I know. Some have said that they rust, so that's good in a way...right? Anyway, they are going back. I'll just cut off some of the 12 inch staples I have that I know are galvanized. I don't want to inhale that black stuff and I certainly don't want it to leach into the ground. ... show more

  • Heavy duty and well made.
Item Package Quantity: 200
These are heavy duty and really work well in the backland clay. Doesn't bend or flex like the ones I bought at garden store. Really worth the money

  • Use these over ones found at homedepot or elswhere
Item Package Quantity: 100
You might think these are just like any staples you might buy at a home improvement store but they are better. I got them for the install of artificial grass on my yard and was grateful for them. I had bought some from another home improvement store and simply put they are just superior.
