Well these are just amazing! First, they are not supposed to rust. Fingers crossed! I used about 30 of these one afternoon to affix some weed barrier to my garden bed. A couple hours later, we had 45mph winds blowing and not one of these pins loosened. My old U-shape pins would have pulled loose but these held tightly. Really good landscape pins. I have a very tall holly tree and has decorative greens around the ring along the bottom of the tree. Removed the green along the base and cleaned up to tree trunk and then laid landscape cloth to control weeds and applied these pins to hold the cloth. They didn’t push back out due to heavy rain and temperature changes and held the landscape cloth securely in place. Very easy to hammer into the ground with rubber mallet. Removal very easy too with landscape hand tool that mimics a mattock or hammer. I would recommend and good for your landscape collection of pins. I do a big Christmas display each year. It includes lots of yard stuff, all of which needs anchoring. Yard staples have their place and I use a ton of them. Used this for the first time this year to anchor tinsel/wire figures - held them beautifully thru very windy weather. Big circular top made them easy to pound in and they did not bend - even when placing in rocky should. I did not use for landscape fabric but guessing they would work super well - much better than usual 4 inch fabric staples. Back to Christmas - for folks who buy stuff that needs anchoring in ground, toss the anchoring junk that is often included with items - use these instead. I plan to get more. ... show more

These staples have their uses, but they are rather light duty and have limited holding power. In some applications they may be better as they cause less damage to the fabric. But in general, they need to be stronger and longer to justify the cost.

These are awesome pins for weed block fabric. I will never go back to using the cheap U shaped ones again. A little pricey but way easier to use. They can still bend though if you hit something hard - they aren’t indestructible. I put some in part of my yard where I’m putting rock and they have kept the fabric down really well since I’m actually behind in finishing that project. Get these you won’t regret it. ... show more

I have spent hours banging landscape staples into the ground since I would rather do that than weed all our paths (which I then cover with either pebbles or wood chips). I have ordered probably 5 - 7 different types of staple and these are the best - by far. They go in easily, hold the fabric securely and do not bend. I had maybe 2 bend when I tried to pound them directly into rocks, but all the other staples I've used have maybe 5 - 6 times higher bend rate and are much harder to pound in and if I'm being honest, don't feel as secure. Because they're so easy to use, I probably also use more. Not sure if that's good or bad, but this fabric isn't moving. I just ordered my second batch. Awesome product. ... show more

The quality of these pieces is very decent. The feel thick and can withstand a medium load. I am using them to pin back Shepard's hooks that are sagging due to weight being hung on them. These were placed into a rock wall and have been holding very well. I plan to use them for many other projects. I also appreciate the circle tops as they allow for many different types of applications to be attached to them for support. These were so easy to use, didn't rust, and worked flawlessly. Have torn up my former fabric weed block, tilled the soil, then replaced with a good gauge plastic sheet (also from Amazon), trimmed to fit the circular English Garden my wife loves and what better way to hold down the plastic but using these spikes. They are just the right length, the spiral top hold enough so you can space these out a bit rather than use rocks. LOL ... show more
