Frequently asked questions

Sanabul Essential MMA Gloves come in different sizes to fit various hand shapes and sizes. It's important to measure your hand circumference around the knuckles and consult the brand's size chart. Typically, sizes range from small to extra-large. If you're between sizes, consider how you like your gloves to fit—tighter for better control or looser for comfort—and whether you'll be wearing hand wraps underneath.

Yes, you can use Sanabul Essential 7 oz MMA gloves for heavy bag workouts. However, these gloves are designed as a hybrid for sparring, grappling, and light bag work in martial arts. For dedicated heavy bag training, consider using gloves with more padding to protect your hands and wrists from the repetitive impact.

To clean your Sanabul MMA gloves, wipe them down with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and debris. Avoid using harsh detergents. You can use a mild soap for a deeper clean if necessary. Let them air dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing. Do not place them in direct sunlight or a dryer as this can degrade the material.

Yes, Sanabul Essential MMA Gloves are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners. Their hybrid design makes them versatile for various types of martial arts training, including sparring and grappling. The gloves offer a balance of protection, comfort, and dexterity, making them a great choice for anyone starting out in martial arts or MMA.

  • Great quality, great price!
Color: AllBlack Size: Large/X-Large
These MMA gloves are super comfortable and fit just right! Sanabul takes variation of physical features into consideration to make glove size that generally fits *most* people. The circumference of my palm measures 10 inches, and the L/XL gloves fit well. They're not fully broken in yet, but the hours that I'm putting on them are showing how well constructed they are. Like any other glove, they do tend to get smelly if not cleaning them after use, so make sure you take care of them to prolong their life. ... show more

  • Train Like Batman
Color: Black/Green Size: Small/Medium
Before I start my review I want to inform you that I am not a professional or amateur fighter or any type of trainer. That being said I'm just a dude who does mma drills/training to stay fit. Now here is my review. About two years ago there was nothing on TV so I decided to watch an mma fight. From that very moment I fell in love with the sport. So I continued to watch the combat sport anytime I had a chance. While continuing to watch the fights I began viewing their training sessions. After watching the training sessions I thought I would like to try those exercises. So I did. Fast forward to now. I have been training like these elite athletes for about a year and a half. Part of my training is working with a heavybag. I started with some entry level 14oz boxing gloves. The gloves are fantastic, but do not allow for hand/finger movement. So as my training had evolved I found that a need for gloves with finger hand access had arose. So I searched amazon and these gloves appeared in the search. I saw the brand and had remembered seeing UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping using some gloves by sanabul. So I took a closer look. After comparing these gloves with other similar styles, I was very impressed with the price point and reviews. So I decided to purchase them. So as of now I've been using the gloves for little over a week. When I first started using the gloves they were a bit uncomfortable, but I was so used to using traditional boxing gloves. After acclimating to the new glove style, I did heavy bag work with and with out handwraps. I decided that using handwraps was the way to go. I used 180" Sanabul wraps. I noticed during my sessions the speed of my punching had improved, Which was to be expected since I went from using 14oz gloves to the 7oz gloves. So I can say I am very satisfied with the gloves. As far as the durability of the gloves I won't know that until I work with them for a while. At this price point they are a great bargain. They look and feel like they would cost way more than the current price point. So get you some and go Train Like Batman. 72919 Update I have been using these gloves for quite a while now, and am throughly satisfied with the quality, comfort and protection provided by these gloves. At the current price point they are so worth it. Additionally I have started training on a reflex bag, and after using some 16 and 10 ounce gloves on the bag, I prefer these 7 ounce gloves. When I bought these gloves I was at the beginning of my training journey. As the years have progressed and my training has evolved, I find the gloves are suited to fit that fitness evolution. So if your ready for a fitness evolution get these gloves. ... show more

  • Solid affordable option for sparring gloves
Color: Black/Copper Size: Small/Medium
I picked these up because they're a much more affordable way to find out if you like this style of glove. If you are working both striking and a ground game, these permit you to do stand-up work and still practice grappling in a way that 16oz gloves just won't. At the price point, I had some concerns about quality, but am pleased to report that they actually appear to be very sturdy, and compare favorably to much more expensive options from Revgear or other similar brands. I also have a pair of Fairtex ones, and these surprisingly don't lose much in toughness or comfort, despite being a quarter the price. A couple notes: They do feel a little stiff, and I suspect it will take some time to break in so that it's more comfortable to close your hands with them on. The padding and finger loops are a bit firmer than the ones on the Fairtex gloves. They also are a bit smaller; they are about even with my knuckles (I wear medium gloves), while the Fairtex have a bit of overhang. As a consequence, you have to be a little more careful when hitting pads or a bag not to scuff your knuckles, and this size would not work well for someone with larger hands. However, at the price point, I would buy these again, and will use these far more often because they're good enough quality and will be easier to replace. The design is good and offers solid wrist support, and will probably buy a pair of their 16oz gloves because I go through those rather quickly, and they're much less expensive to replace, while still being very good quality for the price point. If you're looking for sparring gloves like this, I would try these out first. You may still end up with others, but I'd bet you'll still use these just because they're good enough to keep using, and are much less expensive to replace when they wear out. ... show more

  • Great glove great price
Color: Black/Green Size: Large/X-Large
I have been training MMA for 4 years now and have previously been using the revgear gloves similar to these which are between $50-60. I was looking to replace them when I came across these and for the price I thought I would give them a try. First impressions of when I tried them on is that they fit great and are solid construction and also look good. I have used them in 5 training sessions so far and love them. Good padding for sparring and strong wrist support. I have not had any issues with fingers sliding out or any other problems. One of my teammates with 13 pro fights tried them for a couple rounds and loved them and says he is gonna buy them as his revgear ones are old and have perma stink going on. If you are looking for a good mma training glove for a good price that is comparable to the more expensive ones these are the way to go. I will update as I get more days of training in them. ... show more
