This coffee is very smooth. I can barely taste the acidity. For a medium roast the flavor seems very bold, but I’m guessing its because of such minimal acidity you can actually taste the coffee. I just received my second bag and it wont be our last.

Purchased during Prime Days, I expected a quality, nicely roasted beans, and San Francisco Bay did not disappoint. Packaging was airtight and these beans were clearly fresh with a noticeable oil sheen. Hand ground and using a Hario pour over set up, this blend provided a balanced, low acid, tasty cup, refreshingly lighter bodied from the usual full dark roasts I purchase. Coffee has decent taste however I think it would be a lot better if it was fresh. Amazon states 2k sold in the last month. The beans I received were 8 months old

    • Good for Inexpensive coffee - on the bland side
I ordered the San Francisco blend because I prefer dark roasts. The pictures how beans with a lot of oil which makes for a good cup of coffee. The bag I got was just beyond medium with dry beans and no oil and very little bubbles on pour over which suggests this is not fresh roasted. The taste is ok, nothing to write home about. I cannot detect any distinct notes. The flavor is more akin to you typical grocery store coffee. It's not bad and satisfies the morning caffeine craving. Will I buy it again? Probably not but that doesn't mean it's not worth the money. I prefer the roast a little darker and my choice of beans are African and Asian blends. ... show more

Really good tasting organic coffee. The beans have always looked fresh with a nice bean oil tezture. Just wish the price was a bit lower.

Great flavor and you can't beat the value for organic coffee at this price. We use it for drip coffee and in our moka and it always tastes great.
