Flavor Name: Scandinavian Blend
Size: 32.00 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve prepared this Scandinavian blend so far using my two main brew methods: moka pot and French press. It’s a tasty, full-bodied dark roast with smokey notes, though not nearly as smokey as a French roast. The beans are matte, not oily. I’ve brewed through half the bag already, and I’m still getting
to know this blend. So far, I quite like it. Being a darker roast, I’ve been careful to grind even coarser than I would for lighter roasts in my French press, using a Timemore C2 hand grinder. Set on 26 clicks. Also, I let my electric kettle cool for a minute or two after boiling before I add the water to the grounds in the carafe. Boiling water is no bueno for darker roasts in a French press. I grind the beans a bit more coarsely for the moka pot as well. So far so good with this Scandinavian blend in both of my preferred brew methods. I’m enjoying it enough that I’ve also purchased the SF Bay French Roast and look forward to trying it. This brand sells a high value product. Decent quality for a good price. The expiration dates on both bags I’ve received are well into the future. Is this freshly roasted, small batch coffee? Absolutely not. I’m okay with this for the amount, price, and convenience. My goal here is to save money while getting a good enough coffee. This brand fits the bill.

Flavor Name: Fog Chaser
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I got the Fog Chaser this time, usually blending my own dark and lighter beans anyway, and they succeeded well in what they wanted. The first breath is more French roast than espresso, though it has that too, and when brewed comes out in a soft, non-acidic middle--if you like dark. The fine dark blen
d with lighter beans supplies the "fog chaser", a morning necessity for me. I tried others before this, including Amazon's "Bold" dark roast, an acidic jumble of sheared metal cog ravage (I don't know how they got it so wrong). Fog Chaser is salvation. I'm not a coffee aficionado, chasing every whisper of flavor by bean, blend, and brewing technique. I use a simple French press to get the job done, and honestly haven't had a good cup of cappuccino since the 70's (as in NOT Starbucks). This blend works for me, even if it is surprisingly inexpensive. As with all their blends, seal the original bag as tight as possible and place it in a well-squeezed plastic bag, then put it in a paper bag in a cool, dark place or other sealable container. Grind beans as needed or fill a small container.

I got on the grinding and measuring kick with my new coffee maker. I've learned that I don't really care for African coffee beans, and some medium roasted South American varieties. I spent and wasted a lot of money chasing good reviews on Amazon. I came across Fog Chaser and read some reviews and tho
ught why not. It turned out to be my favorite coffee bar none. I love it. It has smooth goodness with refreshing coffee taste, not some flowered jumbo crap from Africa. I guess I'm old school, I like my coffee to taste like coffee...simple! Black Rifle was the only close competitor, but when I found out the owner likes to kill beautiful animals, well they were quickly scratched off. I highly recommend this coffee and I can assure you that I'm not a fake reviewer, or getting paid by the company.

I bought the SF BAY French roast & it reminded me off SF North Beach as it had the flavor & freshness I remembered. ( I'm from SF ). The Italian Extra Dark Roast is even better, as I think it's the BEST Italian dark Roast on the market. It should be rated 10********** instead of 5. KUDOS to the roast
ers for their expertise in cooking the beans JUST RIGHT. Will DEFINITLY keep buying this!! Thank you

Compared to Starbucks French Roast,, , it's just ok.
Flavor Name: French Roast
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
I was hoping to find a less expensive alternative to Starbucks French Roast and thought I would give this a try. The flavor is mor intense than Kirkland Brand French Roast but not nearly as wonderful as Starbucks French Roast. It may be the base beans or the roasting process but, SF Bay just does not
give that smokey rich flavor that their competitors do. I really could care a less whether SF Bay is a fair Coffee buyer or environmentally aware company. At the end of the day all that matters is whether or not their coffee is pleasing. In my opinion, their French Roast is not terrible and is enjoyable. It's just not awesome like SB.

I am am a big fan of this brand coffee especially their Breakfast Blend. I ordered this variety for a change since it was also advertised as a medium roast which I prefer. Unfortunately the roast turned out to be much darker in my judgement - certainly when compared to the Breakfast Blend

Satisfying flavor and taste
Flavor Name: DECAF French Roast
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
My doctor informed me that I needed to give up caffinated coffee after a heart valve replacement. I thought it was going to be terrible experience. I start most mornings with a double Cappuccino. It's a fun process. I didn't want to give it up. I had convinced myself that decaf beans tasted very diff
erent from the dark roast I've used FOREVER. I am very happy with the quality of the beans from San Francisco Bay Coffee and will not hesitate to reorder when needed. Roland

My wife used to work at Sbux and I've become a coffee snob, sort of. Mostly I like what I like. I like dark roasts - espresso, italian, french, etc. But, I've also found I don't need or want the caffeine. Finding a whole bean dark roast decaf coffee is tough. This one is good. I usually make an aero
press and I make it strong. When I make iced coffee, I literally pull long shots of espresso and add some half/half and put it in the fridge. The ice waters it down too much. The flavor of this coffee is great and it's strong if you make it strong. I do tend to like smoky flavors, char on meat, etc. So while some people say dark roasts (or starbucks) tastes "burned", I actually like those flavors. I HATE medium and light roasts. I tend to not like too many organic coffees...although I think most of those are medium roasts from different regions.

I usually use a K-cup but wanted something a little more economical and eco-friendly. I just grind up the beans the night before and have it ready in my coffee pot. Makes wonderful coffee and I can adjust the strength.

Go-to affordable cup in the morning
Flavor Name: Fog Chaser
Size: 2 Pound (Pack of 1)
When I was making coffee every day we would drink this exclusively. Since its a large bag it took a surprising amount of time to get through, but it was a nice balance of cost effective and pleasant to drink for my coffee snob partner at the time.

This coffee is very smooth. I can barely taste the acidity. For a medium roast the flavor seems very bold, but I’m guessing its because of such minimal acidity you can actually taste the coffee. I just received my second bag and it wont be our last.

First I purchased to mix with some columbo supreme beans I get from Columbia. I used to buy Coffee Beanery's Mocha Java which was a very high bar, but they raised prices too much and now do not sell 3-5 lb bags. So I purchased this and made a pot by itself. Not very strong even with extra added to th
e brew. I was disappointed in the packaging because it was clear and beans do not like to be exposed to light. Maybe that affected the taste, but I won't say do not buy because it was decent. Just not a strong mocha java flavor.

I used to drink only Starbucks Italian and French roast at home. SF Bay Italian and French has replaced them. This is all I drink at home. I just wish they had a 1lbs bag, because it takes me almost a month to go through the 2lbs, which means at the end of the bag you can start to taste its age.
