So as many of you, I research the heck out of a product that I am going to drop some cash on. In doing so there are many choices out there for a watch such as this one. I found that there are some that don't offer great options. I think that there are some that work well if you like the IOS side of things. I understand that this watch works well with an IOS phone but don't know that for sure. All that said, this is a great watch. You can feel the quality when you hold it, work with it, and wear it on your arm. Before I begin sharing, I have to say that I love this watch! It is a very nice watch, doesn't seem like Samsung scrimped on quality with this one. Would I buy it again? You bet I would! Well worth the money. I own 14 watches and since purchasing this one, I have not worn any of the others. It has met all my expectations. I wish it came in a black finish but that is minor. Things I like about it... I like the fact that if I have to I can answer texts and phone calls on it. My emails are quick and easy to read. You do have to have your phone near by if you don't get the LTE version. Not a big deal really, I usually have my phone near by anyway. For texting, you have a few options but the easiest for me is the voice to text method. Seems to work very well. Phone calls see to work well too. People I am talking to can't tell that I am talking to my watch. It does a good job filtering out background noise during a phone call. I have answered calls in a noisy room with kids and adults talking over a TV and my wife couldn't tell anyone was around me. Battery life is great. I have had the watch now for a few weeks and it has never gone dead. I usually throw it on the charger to top it off when I shower. I know, it is water proof but in my mind, I don't need to take it in the shower. I don't mind the watch band it comes with and use it when I go to the gym but I have purchased another nicer band and will probably get a couple more. I love watches and changing the band isn't that hard. I also like that there are some ways you can customize it to match your tastes. I had never thought of that before with a watch other than changing a band. I love the hundreds of different faces you can get. Many of them are free. It's hard to decide sometimes which one you would like to choose from. I was a little concerned about the thickness of the watch. Pictures on line made it look really thick but it's not bad. I have the 46mm and it doesn't look too big on my arm. Seems to be the perfect weight on my arm as well. Some people say that they have replaced their cell phone for their watch. I use my cell phone for much more than I could on my watch. I am not sure how you would do that but I guess if you don't use your phone for almost everything, then you could do that. It is nice that I can for the most part leave my phone in my pocket though. Bixby, Hummm. Not Samsung's greatest move. I wish I could remove it from my phone and my watch. What a waste of space and effort. For me the Google Assistant would have been a better option. At least it would have been better to have given you an option as to what assistant you wanted to install or use. Bixby is a pain and wish Samsung would give up on it. All in all, it is a great watch. I love it and am very happy with my purchase. If you are debating on getting it or saying that you will wait on a different one to come out? Well I guess it's up to you. I would suggest this one over the others I have looked at. I feel it's a great quality watch that does a great job doing what it's supposed to do. I am thinking about getting the 42mm in Rose Gold for my wife. She has a Fit Bit in a small version. I think she would love the functionality of the Samsung Galaxy 42mm. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Appearance: This watch looks great, silver shiny metal casing, nice metal bezel in black, the default bank is a black rubber, looks good as well. The big 46mm face looks awesome to the user and people that see you wearing it, the faces are bright and vibrant and there are many great ones both digital and analog looks and many funny cartoon ones as well. You can also make your own custom faces on the samsung site too. With the ways you can customize case, bands and bezel, its the best looking smart watch on the market to me. Functionality: This watch uses a custom Samsung app store and uses the Tizen OS instead of the more standard Google app store and Wear OS that most other android watches use. That is not a problem when it comes to watches like this one though as you can make calls, receive calls, take and write texts, receive and write e-mails, you can get driving directions with a map app, there is a web browser that works well, heart rate monitor, sleep monitor, exercise apps, you can watch youtube videos and it looks great, you can get notifications form all social media sites, and much more, this watch can do pretty much anything you want in a smart watch, excellent. This watch is waterproof, you can swim with it, take a shower with and dive with it. The battery life is very good IMO on this 46mm model, I am getting 3-4 days out of it and I use it for heavy tasks like calls and video along with maps too. It is very easy to charge with the included wireless charging stand too. The only downside is that if you are not using one of the newer Samsung phones you need to do a few workarounds to get texts to work properly. I was not using a Samsung phone and can report I am still extremely impressed by the functionality. Expandability: There are hundreds of watch cases, bezels and watch bands(leather, rubber and metal/steel) that you can buy for a low fee to customize the entire look of this watch. You will not be disappointed at all in this department, nice looks for male and female users and all kinds of funny prints and also professional looks that can make the watch look almost like a rolex, no joke form a distance. Overall: This is the best smart watch you can get in 2019 IMO when comparing it to watches I have tried out, seen in stores and I also read many reviews form watch/tech sites and many agree with this opinion. The only cons are that some functions that have to do with texting and e-mail do not work out of the box for non-Samsung phone users. You need to download some 3rd party apps to get that up to par. The pros heavily outweigh those slight flaws though, so I recommend this watch to anybody looking for a smart watch this year. Score: 9.5/10 This watch does everything I dreamed of a smart watch being able to do & more. The only slight flaw is that if you are not using a non-Samsung brand phone or older Samsung phone you probably will have to do a little extra to get it to properly handle e-mails & texts(download a few extra apps), but other than that is does everything at top notch out of the box and I love it! ... show more

Let me preface this review by stating that I spent a great deal of time researching literally every smartwatch, fitness tracker and hybrid on the market. I purchased this watch not particularly for its fitness features, although they are many and work exceptionally well, but for all of the other advantages and conveniences a good smartwatch affords. I am very impressed with the build, design and overall appearance of this watch. It carries just enough heft to remind you that you have something of substance and value on your wrist. Adding a silver stainless steel band has, in my opinion, increased its overall appeal and completes the traditional analogue watch allure I desired. The bright, easy to read screen is intentionally recessed just enough to be protected by the bezel should you accidentally scrape it against a door, wall or other foreign object. Still, I would recommend a screen protector just to be safe. Speaking of the bezel, the clever rotating design is easy and intuitive as you navigate the multiple watch functions. Battery life is, simply put, amazing. I can go about 4.5 days with most functions and notification options engaged before needing a charge. Of course, individual results may vary depending on use. I could go on but suffice it to say that I am a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend this watch for anyone wanting a more traditional looking option.
