So far so good. First factory refurb I've ever purchased. So much happier with it than my iPhone 6 plus. The phantasmic "system data" in the iPhone was eating up all my storage, a problem well documented so why it continues to be unsolved is a mystery and simply a hassle for the user. But now I have this Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and I am delighted! I saved money... a lot of money... by purchasing a factory refurbished phone. I've remembered just how much I love the swipe-texting function of an Android. The battery life and speakers are phenomenal. The camera function is clear and takes lovely photos. Great phone at a great price! In near mint condition! I've had it a year and still have over 400GB of storage left! The phones stylus was messing up and the seller shipped a brand new stylus for free, its worked great ever since. Thanks for the great customer service!

    • Great phone, a few surprises, but a good unit for me personally!
This is a south korean telecom phone that's unlocked, and capable of working on my Mint network just fine! This was a surprise, but after some app disabling, as well as some tweaking of the UI, I think this will be good for me in the long run. This phone has an OEM UNLOCK toggle, so I think I'll be able to flash this phone with custom Android 11 &12 builds someday down the road. One other minor complaint: it came with the grey spen, not the yellow one that comes with this color phone model. That's ok, though- I'll probably buy a new one someday, and that's an awfully minor thing to complain about. Phone works great! I'm babying the battery just now to see what kind of life I can get out of it, and I'll update if there's anything alarming. ... show more

[Update at bottom, it got worse.] This was listed as "Like New" when purchased. It is barely "decent" with moderate to severe wear at best (The fingerprint scanner has the coating peeling off, scratches surround the perimeter and dings on corners from being dropped on cement/asphalt, power port has NO blue paint around it and looks like someone with Parkinson's shakes was plugging it in for years, etc...). The loudspeaker is even quiet and rattles on both the upper/lower end of sound spectrum when ringers etc are at higher than 80% volume. My six year old 128GB in black is in FAR better shape than this monstrosity. Haven't had it long enough to gauge the battery reliability yet though, will edit review If we decide to keep/return it. But $300+ for this seems like a ripoff, and made for a poor gift for my 73 year old mother whose Essentials Phone was on the fritz needing replacement... Edit: I kept it because I didn't wanna take my fathers B-day gift back. BIG mistake... Picture added. As of 11/14/23 the cheap glass digitizer on the replacement screen cracked behind the tempered glass protector while in my fathers pocket. I regret getting him this as a birthday gift as it was $450 with the asurion, and yet did not even last 6 months. Asurion has made it worse, and after my first login and submitting of the claim, it removed all my previous policy records from their system after logging in, headphones, keyboards, and all, and now shows a warranty only for a silicon screen protector for a smartwatch, when it should be protection for THE WATCH in that order, and I am struggling to get them to cooperate with making a claim after paying 100$ extra for accident coverage with smaller deductibles on this purchase. It makes me want to get my money back for the active policies I cannot use. I may just write it off as a learning experience and stop trusting/utilizing amazon refurbished or asurion entirely. I could've just bought another cheap phone and grabbed a 512GB sd for less than what this transaction has cost me in time, money, and stress. ... show more

    • Fastest phone I have ever used on Verizon prepay [4.5 stars]
Crystal clear phone calls, voice to text is the best on this phone out of any phone I have ever owned in my life. Blackberry KeyOne can choke on it! I've run with Blackberry for the last few years, they did a replacement upgrade when my phone was lost at the FedEx or UPS warehouse, and let me keep it as a backup when it was recovered. So service seemed great, but recently I had to roll back bc my replacement phone has been breaking down. I transferred everything to my original KeyOne only to discover they never actually repaired the phone when it was in for repair. Neither of these phones ever did voice to text correctly. Years ago, I had a Samsung Note 3, which I loved. It was a durable, high quality phone, that didn't slip through your hands. Only problem is, when networks moved beyond 3G, it became pretty worthless. If there was an upgrade option for wireless networks in phones, then I probably would not have stopped using it before this year. Unlike the Note 3, the Note 9 is a slippery phone, so you need a solid protective case. I bought a stack of cases with the phone to try out and my favorite is the Zizo Bolt Series with detachable belt hook. - Brilliant design and durable enough that I feel safe using this phone with that case.. I'll be doing a youtube video on the cases in a few weeks.. look for Joseph Pahrle to watch it. Overall, I'm just amazed by how fast this phone pulled all my apps in. It had every app from my old phone loaded before I walked in the door of the grocery store down the street. It was the fastest upgrade I have ever had in a smart phone. Absolutely love this phone! /!\ update.. photos are very good, but video stabilization is very weak. If they added 5-axis image stabilization to this phone, then it would be perfect! ... show more
