The media could not be loaded. Great tv with crisp image. If you set your settings to the following, you’ll be blown away; most can be found in Pictures Expert Settings. Color Tone I found best set to "Warm2" for a more accurate and natural color temperature. I chose "Native" Color Space for the widest color gamut. Color Booster and Contrast Enhancer left “off”; no need and will throw off accuracy IMO. Peak brightness, set to “high”. Picture Clarity to ‘Auto’. Power and Energy Saving:OFF. You’ll get crazy accurate colors and a solid picture absolutely no blooming. Can be viewed from a very wide angle without losing quality. The video I shot went out of focus when the camera went to the side; it was not the TV. This was very important to me. I did not want to look at a green tint when looking from the side, as when I do occasionally watch from the kitchen while cooking. QD OLED has notably brighter color volume, better gradients than WOLED panels, and doesn’t suffer at all from this issue. I found ‘Filmmaker Mode’ and ‘Movie Mode’ the best picture modes. Choose what you think is best. I set mine to Filmmaker mode. Watching scenes with deep dark blacks is no issue for the S90D. The new ‘Venom’ movie I watched had killer dark blacks with no crushing. The S90D handles dark scenes superbly. Those that are wondering if not having Dolby Vision makes a difference, I can tell you it does not IMO. I watched ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ in Dolby Vision played in HDR, and tone mapping was done brilliantly by Samsung, still providing life like vivid clarity and a stunningly radiant picture. I’m going to be just fine without DV. I don’t watch Blu-ray players. I mostly stream and watch HD cable content. HDR10+ content is even better with 3D eye-popping color. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Paramount+, and even Disney+ now all support HDR10+ to name some. Dolby Atmos enabled works great. The S90D gets pretty loud without distortion, and voices are never buried. I was really impressed with the sound’s presence and volume. Even has a little bass! The Samsung Tizen OS isn’t perfect, but it’s customizable to your preferences. It’s not invasive of your privacy, with no forced pop-up ads or solicitations while you watch tv or search for channels. Navigating through the Samsung Tizen OS is rather simple to learn. I thought it was an easy setup from start to finish. I’m very happy with my “pristine” TV. :) I did add a 3yr ASURION insurance protection to cover myself from any QC issues that may arise and suggest you do so on ANY TV at this price point, for peace of mind. ... show more

First of all the Amazon unpack crew were awesome. I'm incredibly pleased with their service. Now to the TV. WOW. OMG. AMAZING. :) For those that need more details this replaced a 10-year-old Samsung vanilla LED backlit LCD TV. My old TV had no local zones, no real HDR, and while it said I had Dolby I never got it to work. After 10 years of moderate use the LEDs are burning out leaving darker areas all over the screen. For what I paid it's been a good TV but the technology has changed a lot since I bought it. I decided to spend a little more $$ this time and try OLED and I'm glad I did. The picture is stunning and the sound is very good without any help (I will be adding 5.1). My living room is dark but even with the windows uncovered the picture is clear and bright with barely any glare. I don't like the remote because I have very large hands and it is very tiny. I have managed to use it and like that it's solar powered but seriously can't they make them a little larger? I'm not thrilled with the overly complex Samsung home screen but then I'm used to a fire stick which has a nice simple functional home screen. In all if it holds up over time I'm very pleased with both the set and the Black Friday deal on Amazon. ... show more

I hate the software on this television! After spending $1000, I ought to be able to easily configure the damn thing so that when I turn it on, my three year old isn't assaulted by frightening, violent, or inappropriate imagery. I have been unable to do this. The crap Samsung app opens by default and, unprompted, starts playing whatever filth it wants. It was a sex scene from some 80s movie the first time I turned it on with my kid in the room. We're routinely treated to stills advertising horror and action films as we try to navigate the clunky interface to Daniel Tiger. The arrogance of Samsung that they think they should be able to foist on me and my family any content at all is breathtaking. The picture quality is excellent, too good actually. There's something oddly uncomfortable about the razor sharp clarity. The Alexa integration is crap. I loath this TV and would love to smash it with a hammer, but I spent 1000 on it and it's bolted to my wall, so I'll be living with it. At some point, I will find the time to try harder to force the idiotic software to be less offensive. Maybe a set top box would help. ... show more

I did so much research on the various televisions available, and after 2 months I finally decide to play it safe and purchase Samsung. The picture is just,"Wow!" The colors are vibrant. The picture is crisp. And, the upscaling feature is amazing for those titles that do not broadcast in UHD (HDR+). The photo posted with this review highlights the upscale feature for Big Bang Theory on Max. Hopefully you can get a decent idea of what to expect. The price of this television is a bit high, but worth the price. The picture is amazing and the TV pairs incredible with Amazon's Echo Studios, which are designed for Dolby Atmos. The primary sound feature of this TV. The only set back is the remote. Not sure I care for the solar charging feature or the small compacted buttons. However, the Fire Cube remote can be paired to by pass the TV remote. Again, I can't express enough how much of an upgrade you will get from a normal 4K TV and OLED.
