I've never noticed how good this portable projector samsung could ever done. The gaming on this is outstanding and its really responsive. But its super expensive though. I love how bright the image are and how you can charge the remote without needing batteries. Well done samsung. Also the sound on this is really good. Even the connevity as well as ease to setup. You just set it up to a wall and let it do its thing without going to the menus it does it for you. I have been all about Samsung products but this projector is certainly a big disappointment. The design is great and portable but the brightness is so bad that it's almost impossible to use anything except pitch dark. I wouldn't even recommend buying at $300 price.

Honestly. I don’t write reviews often, but I have to for this. If you have the money, buy it! I was trying to find the perfect projector for a while and then I stumbled upon the Samsung freestyle. It has the best of everything. Samsung tv, apps, games, you name it. It is super bright, the auto focus is a life saver, the battery stand lasts about 3 hours which is good enough for a movie or a couple of shows, otherwise I just leave it plugged in the wall. The color quality is outrageously good no matter what size the screen is. We go camping with our RV at the beach and projected a movie onto the side of it. Had the whole beach coming to watch! This projector comes with auto focus & auto keystone which will display the screen according to the angle it is set up at ( such a time saver ). Set up was easy and simple, and there’s an app for it as well. 10/10 purchase. ... show more

I have purchased projectors and screens previously and most had bad audio, questionable image quality and were themselves too loud. This projector has great audio and makes almost no noise from the fan but I chose this one because the auto keystone feature since I have limited placement options in a newly rehabbed area of the basement I wanted to make a cinema room (but still have the ability to move screen out of the way to just have decorated wall). The image quality is very good even at 90%. I purchased a 100” screen for the exterior stone wall and from 12’ away the projector looks best around 85% for my size but works well at 90%. Over 7 foot wide image! The preset apps for streaming and live tv give me everything I have on my Samsung tv and controlling it with the remote (solar, but would be nice IF usbC charging cable was included). It connected fine to my iPhone to control the projector as well as share screen. I also purchased a micro hdmi cable to connect my MacBook to screen without issue. I haven’t moved a gaming system down yet but assume it will work fine with the micro cable. The image quality is very good for a projector in this price point. It’s bright AS LONG AS you can control ambient light in your room. It would be nice if you could better control the brightness but as long as I keep windows covered and keep lights off it’s beautiful. As I mentioned, it’s over 7 foot wide image so that with good resolution is the wow factor for this projector. Overall I’m thrilled, however, it is annoying that I have to reset the projector every single time I turn it on. I can’t permanently mount it high because every time I start it, the keystone is off and the size is off (even if the menu says it’s at 85% it’s not, it’s at 100%) and to correct this I have to turn the projector to a side wall, allow it to reset keystone and focus and THEN turn it back to my screen to do the process again. And even then, I often have to do this more than once and unfortunately 90% of the time, the adjustment in the menu are unresponsive. I select screen size and nothing changes, I select keystone manual adjustments and nothing happens. Every 10th time I try this it might work but mostly it doesn’t. It could be the lag is too great and my patience is too short…but this is a problem I thought would be corrected by the version update. It was bad enough that I am still considering the idea of returning it. The only reason I haven’t is that I doubt I will find a projector with the other features at this price so I’m just playing the game and doing the dance to get it fine tuned the way it should be. The wife and I absolutely love this little projector. Very nice image clarity and small enough to transport for vacation. Great selection of apps to add. SAMSUNG always brings the entertainment to their products that why I will always love the brand. This small thing is pushing alot and doing alot to bring great images. Football,Movies,TV shows,Video Games meeting this is it. Very easy to carry around and setup it up anywhere. It very bright that my neighbors was looking at it in their windows and watching from their yard. Size of the image can be 100inch and even bigger with a second Samsung Projector. The Entertainment if you own any of Samsung updates tv you should already know all the apps and Entertainment comes with this. Now all Samsung tv users know that you have to have a Bluetooth soundbar I don't know why Samsung don't work on making better speakers for their tv models but I don't recommend to try to push it with the Speaker on this Projector just buy a Bluetooth speaker and I bet this Projector will last longer ... show more
