  • Not perfect, but an absolute problem solver
Size: Combination upgrade-6 Cutter Heads Color: Black
First the meh. The sharp edge of the 'sole' can leave a line that has to be sanded out in softer wood. The blades were sharp enough to do a good job with the grain but chattered cross-grain leaving little ridges. Both of these issues took about 3 seconds to fix with a fine grain sanding block. The wooh! Is this saved tons of time over grabbing a router to round over a quick job. Also safer and easier to handle small parts. Very satisfied ultimately. 5 stars based on value given the cost. ... show more

  • Junk
Size: Combination upgrade-6 Cutter Heads Color: Black
I'm a moderate level woodworker. Saw this on Instragram, and was looking forward to having a tool that would let me quickly and easily chamfer edges without needing to setup a router, etc. This product just doesn't work. Hard to get the right blade in the tool and setup correctly to use it. Think of it as a very small and fidgety plane. Cheap construction. It's a great idea but just doesn't work the way it looks in the videos. Ended up in the garbage bin. ... show more

  • Poor design and build quality, solid concept.
Size: Combination upgrade-6 Cutter Heads Color: Black
The product is a good idea, but the execution is sub par. Two important pieces of information for anybody considering buying this: 1. The screws holding it all together are the same length, but the holes they go into are not. So when it looks like you haven’t tightened them all the way, but you can’t turn them more, that because the designer was an idiot. 2. The blades come to you duller than Ben Stein teaching a history class. If you don’t already have the necessary tools to sharpen cutters with complex profiles, you need to invest in those at the same time and sharpen the cutters before use. Otherwise, this is better suited to cutting the edges on sand castles than on wood. ... show more

  • Good!

  • Poor quality, buy different vendor's product
Size: Combination upgrade-6 Cutter Heads Color: Black
Problem 1: tapped holes are too shallow for the supplied screws. I managed to find an old M4x.7 chamfer tap, ground off most of the tapered threads and finished tapping the holes; shouldn't have to do that. Problem 2: bits are crudely 'sharpened' and are made from banged up square stock. It took well over an hour to flatten the side opposite of the chamfer bit in order to leave a flat surface (similar to flattening the back side of a chisel) before I could proceed to the angled surface. It cut decently once properly sharpened. Only five more to go :-( Problem 3: flat head set screws are poor quality and the hex socket is easily stripped. This is how I found out about problem 1. Lucky for me I happened to have a longer screw in my spare parts box and ground it to length. Problem 4: supplied Allen key is of dubious quality. I replaced with the correct size Bondus key and no more headaches. The moral of the story is, you get what you pay for. ... show more

  • Not very adjustable
Size: Combination upgrade-6 Cutter Heads Color: Black
The idea behind this is sound, but the knives are not adjustable enough. They will only pull back so far into the base, which leaves you with a chamfer that is about 1/4 inch wide. I was envisioning able to adjust the knives from a zero depth of cut, but that is not the case. The quality of the base is good, it just is not useful for small chamfers. Edit: I had the blade in upside down. I have changed my rating on this item. ... show more
