I ordered the 8’6x12 in Ivory. Because of the weight, we had it delivered with Amazon’s $15. inside delivery service, which was also perfect. They brought it inside and opened it so I could see the backing and the fibers. They were careful, respectful of my home, took their time and made sure I was happy with it. This rug is so thick, soft and luxurious, I love walking across it with bare feet. Very good quality. No problems with it lying flat or uneven edges. Although it’s listed as Ivory, it really is a true Cream color with a barely perceptible hint of a warm undertone. It’s a perfect color match with a Smith Brothers Cream Chenille sofa. The price was amazing and less than a quarter of what I would expect to pay in a fine furniture or carpet store. The only drawback is not being able to use a vacuum with a beater bar, but we purchased a small, inexpensive shop vac for use with all of our rugs. ... show more

Beautiful rug, made well, vacuums well, but may be difficult for someone because the pile is high, and the vacuum doesn't easily slide at times depending on the direction of the pile. The price is amazing, considering I went to top retailers and the same quality of rug was upwards of $2000.

I love shag rugs, but they always end up.looking matted and funky after awhile. Regardless, I couldn't find any other cream colored area rugs I liked, so I took a chance on this one, given it's reasonable price and overall positive reviews. This is honestly the nicest shag rug I have ever purchased. It's lovely. The pile is thick and soft, and most importantly the shag is densely woven; this makes such a difference in overall quality. The rug doesn't immediately go flat as soon as you step on it. Clearly I was buying the wrong shag rugs all this time, because none of them have been this densely woven. I can't say with certainty, but this rug seems like it will hold up well over time. The rug is also not in a high traffic area, so I'm optimistic. Of course, I expect shag to not look it's best after awhile, and at this price point, I wouldn't be devastated to have to replace eventually. I would happily purchase another, and I highly recommend this for a quality shag rug that doesn't break the bank. ... show more

This rug is truly amazing! I very rarely write reviews but this rug deserved it! My husband and I have made comments almost daily about how much we love this rug. Our dog loves it too…so much so we considered getting rid of his dog bed because he lays on the rug way more than his bed now! Its incredibly plush even without a rug pad - thicker than any carpet in our house - yet it doesn’t feel “stringy” or “shaggy” like a lot of other cheap shag rugs. The fibers are super densely packed and we’ve had it for a few weeks and there are no signs of it getting matted down! I vacuum it weekly without the brush roll on and the dog hairs come out just fine. I would describe the color as “old fashioned vanilla icecream”. It’s definitely on the creamy side with a slight hint of yellow. I was sort of hoping for it to lean toward the oatmeal/tan side but it does not. If you’re trying to pair this with true white it won’t look good, but it works well with all of my ivory bedding and accents. The color doesn’t bother me so much because it was a great price and it is truly excellent quality! If I were to buy this quality of rug anywhere else it would have been well into the $400 range. I did some research on the different Safavieh rug lines before choosing this one and learned that the Milan rug (this one) has more densely packed fibers compared to some other lines of similar price, and I’m so glad I chose it! If you’ve been on the hunt for a creamy, dreamy, puffy cloud to cozy up your room, don’t bother looking any further! ... show more

I love how soft and thick this rug is!!! The color is perfect and like online.....My only issue is once again with yet another rug not from the same company either mind you is not cut straight and this seems to be a huge issue with numerous different types of rugs from different sellers I have bought over the past year here and as you can imagine there is NO HIDING a rug that is not cut straight seriously this is making me very upset pretty decent rugs but cut crooked....... ... show more
