The lamp is simply gorgeous! The blue glass is clear no visible imperfections and is the same color as in the photo. Lamp shade is soft white. Not a bright obnoxious white color. The bulb is a lame LED, but it will do for now. The lamp was packed well in the box, with substantial styrofoam, but very messy to clean up as you remove the lamp from the box (the little balls that fly all over the place.) All in all, it arrived in perfect condition and I recieved a perfect lamp for my office space. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. ... show more

It is very lightweight, and I was worried about it tipping easily if bumped (I have a cat who has broken or injured more than one lamp). I ordered a 5lb container of clear, flattened marbles to fill it, and give it more weight on the bottom. To do so, I unscrewed the tube right above the metal cover for the top of the glass enough that I could move it aside and fill a handful at a time.
