I was a bit jarred when I noticed the price on this. $40 seems like a lot for a salad bowl, but then I remembered that this is NYC where a salad from Sweetgreen or Chop't is easily $20, so this thing would pay for itself in 2 uses. I held my breath and ordered it in the blue azurite, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. It can hold about 8 cups which is quite a bit, so if you're a volume eater like myself, you can fit PLENTY in it. That said, its a big bowl, and it makes my purse bulge, but that's not a huge issue for me. Its so, so pretty, it's saving me money, and it's a breeze to clean. I use this bowl to prepare a large salad every day. It is well-made and the design is great. Greens stay crisp on the bottom layer and everything I need to add just before eating fits nicely into the tray insert on top. The small container for holding salad dressing or other very moist ingredients is nice too and can be used for other purposes. I packed this in my lunchbox and I've had no leakage. That said, most of the ingredients would not leak as the liquid is contained in the salad dressing container, which is sealed and which is leak proof. These bowls are large, plenty of room to hold all of your toppings, the lids snap together tightly so they do not leak and it holds the dressing container in place so it does not slide around. They have not torn up or faded in the dishwasher either. I’m so glad a purchased these. They were more expensive than the other bowls I have seen on Amazon but the quality is so good I believe that they are worth the money! ... show more
