It’s been difficult to find natural-fiber shirts for women in US plus sizes, so I sometimes buy men’s shirts. I like them roomy, so I usually choose men’s xxl or xxxl. I bought this shirt in 3x. Fit is accurate for the size. Actual fiber content is 70% cotton/30% linen. Construction values are very good; cut on the straight grain, well-sewn seams, & excellent edge-stitching. Washes and dries well. I have four of these shirts now. This light silver-gray, olive green, black, and what they call “beige”, which is actually a light cream or pale banana yellow depending on the light. They all come with the same plain white buttons, which I was quick to replace to add that extra touch. Wine red for the gray shirt (see photo), antique bronze for the green, pewter for the black, and a rustic brown for the cream. Amazing how a simple change makes a big impact on looks. ... show more

Unfortunately, "lightweight" just means poor quality in this case. The fabric is thin and low quality, per tag it is 70% cotton 30% flax. It is certainly not anything close to quality linen. It is lightweight due to the low thread count and quality of thread. It is sheer close up. Despite being lightweight it does not drape, is starchy and stiff, and will likely hold every wrinkle. The description says Regular Fit but is very square/straight. Like a mix of classic and regular. The collar is nice and the stitching is solid all around. The size was correct for a Large. If I had picked this up at a store I would have immediately put it back down without even looking at the price. Needless to say, at $26 I have regret. ... show more

Moved to the coast this year. I wanted a relaxed, beachy look. So, going after this style, I bought the COOFANDY version of this shirt. It was too short and the type cotton they use didn't feel right. It's sleeves have strip & button to tie up a slightly rolled-up sleeve - I thought that might be a good thing. Then I ordered this Ryanology version. At 6'1" and 230 lbs, I did go up a size to XXL (after the too-small COOFANDY experience). I was dead on. This thing is perfect! The no strip & button mattered not - the rollup stays on its own. The cotton's feel is incredibly comfy and the look so relaxed. Paired with the "iWoo Mens Cotton Linen Drawstring Pants Elastic Waist Casual Jogger Yoga Pants", this shirt/pants combo screams "Chill dude". looking forward to watching sunrises over the surf!! ;-) In time, I will post pix of the Ryanology-iWoo coastal color pairings. Have received numerous compliments. One downside: Ryanology needs to add a mint color. The green they offer looks like military, not beach. OK, maybe military invasion of a beach. HA! So, I had to just order the cool-looking mint colored BEILU Men's Linen Henley Shirts Long Sleeve Hippie Lightweight Casual Beach T Shirt. C'mon, Ryanology, get with it! More coastal colors like mint and peach, PLEASE! ;-) This is a coastal shirt! - Make it in coastal colors! BTW, I just received teh BEILU mint shirt- it's lighter weight and more comfortable than Ryanology's shirts! But it's long sleeve - so, I'm going to the alterationist today to get the sleeves to what Ryanology makes. Oh, the work one must do to get the coastal colors one wants! ... show more

I'm 6'4" with pretty broad shoulders. I generally have a difficult time getting sleeves (hence I ordered the 3/4 length sleeves) or shoulder fit right with ANY shirt (my perfect fit is an Eddie Bauer XLT). When this arrived, it fit like a glove and was soft enough for comfort AND durable enough that I wasn't worried about it falling apart. So, I out it to the test and ran it through the wash and dry cycles six times. Fading was minimal--barely noticed any at all--and the durability was still there. Most importantly, I did not notice ANY change in the sizing; it stayed tru to fit. I love this shirt, and am writing this review mostly because I came back to Amazon to find it again in a different color and style (going to try one with full length sleeves this time).
