I have replaced two trailer jacks with this type of electric jack and I loved both of them. One was for a Wells cargo box trailer, which took five minutes to crank up and crank down on tall trucks, the other was a light class travel trailer, whose jack circuitry wore out and was not replaceable. The install was very quick and painless with only three bolts to loosen and replace. The electrical was very simple. Also since it was single wired as the positive was the only feed needed. The chassis is a ground, although hooking up the negative wire is probably suggested. It had no problem. Lifting the travel trailer although it did make a little bit of noise and wobble a little bit from side to side. Didn't seem to affect the function and it worked just fine. ... show more

There were some reviews that would have made me hesitate if I was looking for a 'plug and play' jack, I was planning to modify them so bought them anyway. As for the reviews, there is a light switch (red button) when off no draw. Soldering on one switch terminal bad (friday's) everything elce was great. Good grease in gear box, and under the rubber band a zirk for greasing the spindle (shows about ground level). Well built jack, works well and will lift capacity. Shortened and rewired for levelers on my trailer, aprox 3,000 lift needed to raise the tires off the ground. No problem!!! A couple inches and the trailer feels like it's on a solid foundation, level with the press of a button. Should work good as tongue jack also. ... show more

I cannot believe how this has simplified my camping trips! Hooked to a 12v battery, and the hitch goes up and down so smoothly. Relatively easy to install (so says my friend who did it). Highly recommend!

Only con is that the lights stay on it no matter what. I added a switch so that i could turn the lights off otherwise it was a parasitic draw on my batteries. Works well no other issues.

Easy install, works perfect. I have seen on other post that the light stays on and other put on a toogle switch. It has a "little" red button on it that turns off the light, just FYI. My husband said it's just what he needed and was so happy with it, no more cranking.

I like the fact it does go up, and down on command, downfall, is it is always drawing juice, even if action is not being used. Going to put a battery box on/off switch to stop it from killing the battery when boondocking or an SAE connector for disconnecting.. It still beats hand cranking. P.S. the light switch is on the back of the unit, not with the up/down function, didn't see this listed in the instructions but I also didn't look that close, found it on the "features" page from here. ... show more

I received this quickly, installed it even more quickly. I hooked up to get my camper this evening from where we store it. I am leaving in the morning to go camping for the weekend. I am typically setting up by myself and I am tired of cranking. I have a crossroads zinger lite 18rd. This Jack is perfect for it. While it is hooked up this evening I was able to take the old Jack off in just a few minutes and put this one in place just as easily. The wiring was easy, simply connecting the black and red to the battery and wah lah… the motor is quiet, not particularly fast or slow, it will be perfect for me. ... show more

I installed the jack ran all the wiring, convoluted tubing, zip tied everything together and got everything all buttoned up on my dump trailer just to find out that the jack intermittently would not work at all. Trace the problem out to extremely poor connectors at switch replaced with good slide connectors at switch, also found bad ground at motor. Sparks were coming from motor bolt even though bolt was tight. Ran an additional ground cable from ground cable on jack housing to motor stud and it solve the problem. Poor wiring, and poor quality connectors. I could have returned it but it was all installed and wiring ran and hooked up. Also pulled gear cover and greased all the gears with a good amount of high quality grease, and greased the spindle threads on the jack. Time will tell if it lasts but so far lots of problems. ... show more
