I love how fast this paint dries, it seems to bond to pretty much anything and has no issues. It dries to a Matte finish. It seems to hold back the rust well and even prevent rust from forming. I’d definitely recommend having a can on hand for when you need it!

Have a metal frame on shop doors that had a good layer of rust on them. This seals the metal completely leaving a paintable surface. Note that it doesn't create a smooth surface, it just covers what's there. For my application that's fine. At least the rusting it stopped and it looks much better. Works as it should. Sprays on and adheres nicely. Texture and color wise, it looks flat and black when it dries. Can is perfect size for restoring maybe a chair or something, you will want multiple for a larger project. Haven’t had any issues with the can leaking, either.

The Rust-Oleum Rust Reform spray does a great job of converting rust and preventing further damage. It’s easy to apply, dries quickly, and provides a solid layer of protection against corrosion. The formula works as advertised, helping to restore and protect surfaces from rust. The only downside is that the coverage isn’t as broad as I’d like, so you may need to apply multiple coats for larger areas. If you’re dealing with rust and need a reliable solution, this spray works well—but plan on using a bit more for full coverage! ... show more

Sprays smoothly, evenly covers the surface and resists runs/drips. Dries very quickly and seems to force out moisture for long term rust-free applications. Used 2 coats as primer on a cast iron park bench, followed by 2 finish coats of Rustoleum in 2015; the bench has been outdoors year round ever since, and NO rust or corrosion has appeared on the bench yet! ... show more
