    • Drone “yeeted” itself into a fence
Edit: I’m adding 2 stars to my previous review as I was extremely impressed by the customer. For anyone who has issues with your drone I would say you have assurance that you will be taken care of. Even after refunding the drone the customer service wanted to make sure I was happy with my purchase even if I kept the drone or not. First time drone user and this didn’t make me feel good about owning a drone in the slightest. I charged all the batteries, read all the manuals, watched all the videos, and nothing prepared me for what this drone did. I ran through the setup which was fairly simple and flew on a calm day in my backyard which is fairly large with minimal obstacles. After running the calibration I slowly moved the joystick up which was meant to send the drone “up”, but instead without any wind it sent it sideways crashing into my porch. It took that hit fairly well, and I replaced it on the ground to try again. The second take off I was able to maneuver around my yard and felt pretty confident until randomly while hovering it launched itself sideways into my fence and drove itself into the ground. After smashing into the fence the app was showing that my controller disconnected. I placed the drone on the ground and tried flying it for the third time. This time I barely tapped the “up” joystick and the drone immediately shot straight up into the air and continued to ascend extremely fast and I had to fight it from going up any higher by pulling the joystick down all the way until it landed. After it landed it wouldn’t turn off, and I had to wait several minutes before it shut itself off. After looking at the reviews this seems to be a common problem, and it also seems as if the mini I received shared reviews with a better model, and I didn’t catch that detail before purchasing. ... show more

Edit** below this is my original review of the first product. I was quite surprised to receive an email from Davina from Roku. I acknowledged that my opinion of the product was on point however it was my fail as I didn't do proper research and I needed something more substantial and bigger. I thanked her for following up and expected to leave it there. To my surprise, I recieved another email offering to send the F11GIM2 to try. After reading reviews, both positive and not so positive, I went forward and accepted the offer. It arrived and after just opening, first impressions are overwhelmingly positive. I'll report back on the use after I get a couple flights in. And, my refund was processed yesterday. So a big thank you to Devina and Roku for the new drone and look forward to the first flight! Below is the review for the mini. If you are comfortable and confident with a drone no bigger than your hand,, then give the mini a try.. for me, I immediately felt stressed over breaking it. I have no experience with drone quality but my first impression of the mini was true. After opening, I was so shocked by the poor quality, I simply packed it back up and jump3d on Amazon to initiate the return. Don't bother, this is dreadful. ... show more
