  • Easy to put together
Size: 5'x4'
Received box intact with no damage. Delivery personnel very friendly and placed box in garage. Took out all the pieces and placed them as i would need. Hint: watch all the videos available on assembly, it will make job stress free. Could be done with one person, but a lot easier if you had help. My wife wanted to help, so she was the holder. Finished in 3 hours because I was in no rush. Turned out very pretty and strong. Highly recommend it. Bonus was that it was on sale for $450 with free delivery. Jumped at it. ... show more

  • Relatively Easy to Assemble, Roof Screws A Huge Pain
Size: 5'x2'
First things first - our shed did NOT come with the "roof brace" metal piece. We do not live in a high wind / bad weather / snow area so it wasn't a huge deal to not have this, but it was discouraging to spend $300+ on a plastic shed that didn't come with all the materials. The brace basically is some extra part that helps further secure the roof to the walls and adds some stability to it by adding some additional structural enhancement to the already strong plastic roof. I could see not having this as a problem if we expected our shed to be covered in snow or out in "the wild" instead of just sitting under our rooftop eave against the side of the house. After construction, we didn't really notice any stability problems so we decided it wasn't worth sending it back or asking for a replacement part. Anyway, this is a very solidly built and easy to assemble plastic shed. Everything snapped together very easily and you could tell that the Rubbermaid brand put the extra effort into making it all fit together without any goofy extra bits of plastic you needed to cut away, or the tongue-in-groove stuff didn't fit properly. My biggest complaint was the method for securing the roof to the walls with screws. The roof overhands the walls, and it leaves a gap that you're supposed to used the screws to attach the roof to the walls. The problem is, the included screws have a head that's about .2 inches bigger than the gap provided. So you need to lift up the roof a little bit to give enough space to insert the screw heads, which often throws off the whole plastic slot-in-slot arrangement of the structure. Literally, this would be no big deal if the heads of the screws were just a tiny bit smaller. Instead, you have to like use some sort of glue or putty to attach the screws to your screwdriver otherwise they'll fall out as you try to navigate them into the gap to attach the screws. This little part was by far the hardest part of assembling the shed. Added at least 30 minutes to the overall hour long construction simply because we couldn't figure out a way to get the screws into the wall/roof without them falling out. Also, pilot holes with a drill are your friend, use them for everything and drill straight through the plastic. Once it was assembled it was fine. The doors originally looked all janky and not lined up, but by the time we put the shed in place, levelled it out, and attached the door equipment it was all lined up and looked great. The shed is NOT entirely waterproof, you can still see daylight between some of the joints, but if you elevate it over the ground and make sure it's all securely fastened it'll be fine. I wouldn't store precious linens in it outside without a tarp. We're using it to store closed plastic bins that offer their own sealed protection in case the shed leaks and we're fine with it. Only complaints are that it should be probably $50 cheaper considering it's really just 8 pieces of plastic. But it went together quickly, and looks like it'll be a fine shed for some minor storage in our environment. ... show more

  • Pretty straightforward set up
Size: 5'x4'
Directions were pretty good, took an afternoon to put together (2 people), looks good. Holds what we need for patio chairs & such. Seems stable. Material is Rubbermade, so expect it to last. No lock , so we improvised for now. Delivery went smoothly, the young man dropped it where we needed it (close to set up site), pleasant fellow. Would recommend. ... show more

  • Perfect for added storage in my carport
Size: 5'x4'
I live in a condo with a large carport and only had a small outdoor closet to store garage/attic type stuff. I had been paying $120 per month for a 5x8 storage unit and was trying to find a way to use the extra space in my carport to eliminate that expense. I live in the PNW and did not want metal because of rust, so the resin units seemed to make the most sense (especially with the easier assembly). I saved on delivery charges buying on Amazon over Home Depot/Lowes, and the base price was about the same so happy about that! I was able to open the box (VERY large and too heavy to lift) at my front door and then move the individual pieces over to my carport for assembly. I put this together by myself in about 3 hours (mid-50s active and average size female). I am not going to say it was easy, but it wasn’t as difficult as some other furniture I have assembled. I was able to follow the instructions with no problem. I would recommend having a partner to help, as I probably could have built this in half the time if I had some help. But it is doable solo if that is the only option. The hardest part to do alone was getting the screws into the proper holes connecting the roof pieces to the walls because you need someone to push the roof piece down outside while someone else is inside screwing them together. I had to find something very heavy that wouldn’t slide off the roof piece to keep it pushed down (I used my beanbag weights in a duffel with a grippy rubber rug mat to keep it from sliding off). My carport asphalt is mostly level so I did not need to build a foundation for it. It would probably be a good idea to do that regardless, but it will work building it on flat asphalt or concrete. I did have to move it slightly to make sure the floor was flat enough (otherwise the doors will not work right and the integrity of the wall joints will be compromised). A few months later I am very happy with it, through many days of rain and some intense wind. I have enough heavy things inside to keep it from blowing away in the wind, and I have it installed on the edge of a covered area. It is mostly protected from the worst exposure issues outside and I do not have a problem with water leaks or being musty inside. I am storing things like Christmas decorations, camping equipment and other items in boxes made to protect from moisture and bugs, and I have a few toolboxes and extra wooden dining chairs in there. So far so good! In 6 months thing thing will have paid for itself with what I am not paying for extra storage, and I am quite happy with it! I can also take it with me if I move. Overall very satisfied and I highly recommend for the type of situation I needed to deal with. ... show more

  • Terrible
Size: 5'x4'
I’ve bought many Rubbermaid products which have always proven to be durable and long lasting and easy to assemble. This shed was a problem from the start. We had one windy storm and it collapsed and broke. I had to throw it away. It was such a waste of money. The doors didn’t hook on well during assembly. I had to call my home owners due to my lawn mower getting drenched with rain inside of it. Would never purchase this or anything like it again. ... show more
