I bought the 10 Gallon Brute garbage can in grey making sure I purchased the lid with it. You do not get the lid unless you purchase it separately or as a combo with the trash can. The can arrived in good shape, new and clean. The lid has a nice tight fit. I followed the directions of a previous reviewer for lid removal. To remove the lid, just press down on the center of the lid cover with one hand and with your other hand pull one handle on the lid away from you and up to unsnap it. If you do it that way, it will come off easily. When putting the lid back on the can line up the lid handles with the handles on the can. I hope this helps. ... show more

This is a great trash can, but make sure you check the size. The picture does not represent it’s size. so it’s smaller than I expected and not great for holding large amounts of trash.

Tried to save some money and bought a cheaper bucket. Well it leaked and caused several hundred dollars in damage. Stick with the quality of Rubbermaid! Never again will I cheap out on buckets or containers of any kind. Spend the money and have zero worries!

Great miniature trash can, I'm using it to store a twist lock bucket filled with a bag of dog poop. It's not glamorous, but it's an excellent solution if you live in a condo and need to pick up your dog's gifts. By the way, the lid is sold separately, I thought "they must be pranking me!?" but sure enough, you have to buy the lid separately. ... show more

Having a trashcan on wheels is very convenient. Unfortunately, having a workbench that's low to the ground is also very convenient, and because of how I designed my workbench, I wouldn't be able to fit any other size of trash can under it without giving up the wheeled base. So I needed use this bin, and I needed to find a dolly that I KNEW would fit it, which is not offered on Amazon. I ended up needing to buy one from Uline, which ran me $56, and also had miserably expensive shipping. Considering that I've seen the bins themselves for as low as $18.97, this was a tough pill to swallow, but it was basically the only option if you want wheels, because again, STANDARD WHEEL BASES WILL NOT FIT the 10 gallon can. Once I had the bin and the dolly, I was pleased to find that they're both indestructible. Very heavy duty. Almost all of the weight is at the bottom, so there's no risk of it tipping over, which is also nice. The black plastic and painted black dolly also match well and the two fit together snugly, so I really don't have much to complain about with how they function or look. Know that you'll have to do something to keep the can on top of the dolly if you pull it by the handles, though, because it's only sitting onside of it rather than screwing in. There are many ways to fix this (I put a worn out brake pad in the bin, between the bottom of the can and the trash bag, which worked extremely well, but if you really wanted to you could improvise a way of properly attaching the bin to the dolly), and it shouldn't be hard to figure out. The major disappointment is cost. Yeah, this setup works very well, but it was a pain to find the right dolly and it all feels much, much more expensive than it should be. Hopefully this either saved someone some trouble or at least gave them a better idea of what they'll need to get into if this is what they need. ... show more

Sturdy, just the right size for my needs. Only problem is that once the cover is in place, it takes effort to get it off. I tend to keep it somewhat ajar as a result.
