Ordered and received our big yellow trash can in January 2016 for about 65 bucks. No rolling trash can had survived our trash guys (awesome dudes but they YEET the cans after dumping them) for more than 1-2 years before this one. It is going onto 6 years of constant use, rolling from our garage to the curb and being yeeted occasionally. It has developed tiny holes in the bottom on one side from scraping against the concrete regularly by our toddler and maybe me too occasionally. But still works great. Honestly, I'm buying this one again when ours wears out...well, if it's 100 bucks or less. Rubbermaid has a 10 year warranty. It says "This recycle bin contains an ultraviolet (UV) stabilizer to help prevent fading and discoloring." It is a outdoor trash bin, yellow faded in 1 year, (warranty not included). I had Ordered on March 21, 2015. The cracks happened , last month, with normal used trash man. The faded and weakened the wall and color the same. I will not buy again. (I had a stroke, aphasia. So, poor writing.) ... show more

    • Sturdy trash can worth the investment

This is a heavy duty garbage can. I was not originally considering spending so much, but a friend purchased the can first and was happy with it. It is well worth the investment. We got this because small critters were knocking our cans over to make messy meals in our yard. This is heavy enough to keep them out, and I love that the lid is attached, so we don't have to worry about it being separated from the can and lost or crushed when thrown back onto our property. (I think the size also keeps it from being thrown.) It was mentioned that perhaps our sanitation crew would be unhappy with the size of the can (as it might be too heavy to lift when full), but we haven't had any issues, and the wheels are large enough to keep the can moving smoothly. I've had this for a couple of months now. I read some bad reviews about durability for this garbage can, but every garbage I looked at had some negative reviews about durability. This seemed like the best choice for my needs & I am happy with the purchase so far. It is a bit pricey, but again, none of the big garbage cans are inexpensive. I would recommend this product. I've nicknamed this thing 'the bumblebee'. I like the hinged lid, as it saves it from being tossed across the grass by the dustmen, the size and dimensions are helpful, with room to spare most weeks, for two people (and a dog) who go through lots of packaging. The stability may seem something to be expected, but not so: when we tried to get a replacement of our existing, boring grey bin, the new one came with absurdly undersized wheels that made the bin tippy even when empty. The lid is designed so that trash pandas will have a very hard time opening it. This is a very very good thing. Also the can has thick sides, so it should last a long time without splitting, which is what killed the last trash can. All, in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

This oversized garbage can makes getting your trash to the curb a breeze. It replaces 2 smaller cans that weren't holding up. It is such a pleasure to have a single, rock solid garbage can that holds almost three times what a normal can will. Pushing it to the curb is very easy and smooth.
