I decided to buy another cooler for the boat, as my super pricey Yeti is too heavy and bulky to tote around. This thing got some good reviews so I thought I would try it. I found the camo on sale on Amazon so I bought it. After looking at their best practices, which looked a lot like Yeti's suggestions, I iced it up waited. It did hold ice for two days and on day three mid morning the water was very cool. It was not in direct sunlight, but it was in 80 degree ambient temperature. Frankly, the 30 can model will hold more than my Yeti and it's much lighter. For a day of fishing on the boat, I think it's going to do a great job. One suggestion is to fill it half way the night before you are going to get it really cooled down. I plan on throwing a towel over it to keep it out of direct sunlight because in the South that sun can be brutal in the summer. For the money I'm impressed. ... show more

It's a good cooler however first one we received had a broken zipper. Company made it right and sent a replacement. I can see why it was broken though, because the zipper is hard to close and open. They do send you some oil with the cooler to put on zipper. However I feel it's still a little hard to use zipper so we don't use it as much. ... show more

Part 2 Revised Today I filled it with two frozen packs on bottomz, 8 cans of beer and 3 sodas. Also two samwiches and meet tray. Then ice cubes , after 6 hours on a sunny 70 degree day on the beach and opening and closing, there was very little water at the bottom, the two frozenpacks were still frozen, vert impressed.after 6 hours my beer was ice cold. Part1 bought this because Yetis are way too expensive and all the reviews said the RTIC is just as good or slightly better at keeping ice. I filled the cooler with ice from the grocery store, put in a few cans of beer and let it sit in my kitchen at room temperature. After 24 hours, still solid ice, very little melted water at the bottom. After 48 hours, more of a ice cube slush mixture, by morning on the third day it was all melted but still ice cold. Im guessing about 60 hours of ice life. I also read that bigger cubes last longer and there are probably some variables with ice and atmospheric conditions. I am very happy with how long it kept ice. All around, this seems a great product. Until it fails. Let me start by saying that this is a sturdy built soft cooler, however, the zipper sim seling will fail, and then all its great temperature maintenance properties will fail. The zipper if sturdy, but it is also a PIA to open and close, even when we have used the recommended lubricant every 3 uses. I tried to get to customer service to get this sorted out, and after wasting a couple of hours I simply decided to let it go. Overall, this could be a great product if they include a magnetic soft close, so that the zipper problems are solved. ... show more
