Royal Purple’s Max-Atomizer is a fully-synthetic, highly concentrated, high performance fuel injector cleaner. It is specially formulated to solve problems with today’s direct injection engines, but can be used with any type of fuel injection. Max-Atomizer contains highly concentrated polyether amine (PEA) detergents that quickly clean clogged and coked injectors, restoring 100% of injector flow. Unsure why the bottle leaks for some reviews...it's sealed! + a twist top! Used purple fuel system cleaner and it didn't work. Used the injector cleaner, WHOO! Engine came alive! More MPG, more torque and way better performance! I can't say enough good things!

This is really good stuff... I did a separate manual throttle body cleaning myself first and spark plug replacement... used this product to clean out the other fuel system components primarily the injectors... I have a smaller fuel tank in my Mazda3 (14 gallon)... product says use entire package for up to 20 gallon... I place half of the package in my empty tank and put 10 gallons on top... I repeated this exact recipe a second time... during the first treatment using this mix method I could visibly notice thicker exhaust and experience noticeable performance gains... before the end of the second treatment emissions were clean performance was peak and fuel efficiency was renewed to manufacturers specs ... show more

    • Works well. But Lucas is better!
It was easy to use, and didn't cause any harm. I noticed a little bit of a performance increase, but nothing major since my engine is already pretty clean & only has 64,xxx miles on it. I recommend Lucas Fuel Injector cleaner and Upper Cylinder Lube. The bigger bottle with the fuel stabilizer in it. I've noticed a major increase over 5 tanks of fuel using it at the recommended usage amounts. Engine is smoother revving and mpg's went up by 2-4. Best thing for fuel economy is fresh oil & a fresh oil & fuel filter. And making sure your Evaporative Emissions System is working properly. This product does work, but it doesn't work as well as Lucas. Get new spark plugs as well, if the old ones are fouled or are just super old/have more than 20,000-50,000 miles on them depending on type. (Copper vs Platinum vs Iridium) follow the manufacturer specified replacement guidelines for your plugs, fuel filter, oil & oil filter, & make sure your Air Filter is clean. Plus cleaning or replacing your Mass Airflow Sensor, and cleaning your Throttle Body is important. These are all super easy things to do. Sometimes replacing the Spark Plugs is tricky, like on my car they're hidden under my air intake and several highly important things need to be removed to change the back 3. But that's my car. Yours might be easy. If you're not 100% confident in doing the repair yourself, even after learning how, then pay a qualified reputable mechanic to do it for you. Engines are touchy sometimes, and killing a car can be all too easy. Or getting electrocuted by not doing something simple like disconnecting the battery before doing electrical work. Just pay someone if you're hesitant to do it yourself. Take care, & good luck! ... show more

    • Old Gunky fuel system
89 Bronco project needed the fuel system cleaned up some. This worked so well and quickly in fact, that it push some gunk down to the fuel reservoir from the tank return line that sits on the frame and caused its O ring to blow out. So that got bypassed. Truck starts up with the turn of a key now without starter fluid and injectors do their job. I wouldn’t use this on a newer vehicle but for an old one it could be an easy cheap way to help clean up ... show more
